I’ve been seeing way too much hate in the ID world lately.

Stop putting people down based on their region or organization! We all work our butts off to reach our goals no matter where we live or what school we dance for. Insulting someone based on your entirely arbitrary reasons makes you look like a petty jealous jerk.

Take no shit, but do no harm. Treating others poorly reflects on you as an Irish dancer, on your school, and on you as an individual.  At the end of the day, kindness is what matters.

To clear the air...

So I’ve seen some posts since the Oireachtas claiming that I copied someone else’s dress. I was personally very hurt by these posts because I thought that the person who posted the accusation was a friend of mine, but I guess I was wrong about that. I would just like to say that I had zero say in the design process, my new dress was designed entirely by my dance teacher. The only thing I asked for were flames, which, by the way, I’ve had on every single custom dress that I’ve ever owned. If you look at the two dresses in detail there are a magnitude of differences (especially on the back of the dress). I’m sorry if I offended anyone, but I would appreciate it in the future if someone has a problem with me or my dress to address me in person and not use social media as a backhanded way to criticize me. Thanks, and congrats to everyone at their qualifiers!

Your stage presence is incredible! What are some things you work on to dance as you do on stage to achieve such fantastic presence? Any tips mentally and physically would be greatly appreciated !💖

Ah, thank you so much!! 😙 This may sound cheesy, but when I’m on stage I always think about how happy I am just to be there doing what I love to do! I’ve gotten a lot of comments on my ‘genuine’ smile on stage, and it’s because I really am having a good time up there! I think it’s best just to remember that you have trained for your competition and your feet already know what to do. Just enjoy yourself!
