hurt and more than likely traumatized Stiles being taken to the hospital, being treated and the medical staff waiting for the other shoe to drop because Stiles is acting Fine™️.

his wounds aren’t life threatening but they tell a tale of something really shitty and they’ve seen it enough before to know he’ll breakdown at some point. they think it will happen when they let his father into his room but its actually Stiles who consoles his father as he sheds some tears for his son.

some school friends come to visit and still he’s all smiles and reassuring even tho the nurses notice the trembling of his fingers when he fidgets with his blanket.

there’s a shift change and then its dinner time and Stiles’ father and friends leave at Stiles’ insistence that he is perfectly fine and needs to sleep anyway.

The visiting hours are almost over when a handsome dark haired young man with three teens walk to Stiles’ room. The young man talks to the teens for a second and they stay back as he goes into the room.

there’s a bit of a commotion when Stiles’ monitors starts beeping in warning from his heartrate skyrocketing before going back to a more normal but still fast pace while loud sobbing can be heard coming from his room.

his assigned nurse rushes to his room and has to wait until the huge dark skinned boy move out of the way to get in and Stiles is sobbing brokenly in the young man’s arms and the man has a hand glued to Stiles’ neck and she’s sure her eyes are playing tricks on her because its like the veins on his hand are black.

she checks on Stiles’ machines and leaves them be. a little later, when the sobbing has died down, the three teens enter the room as well. they stay for a long time, way past the end of visiting hours. the medical staff don’t ask them to leave. they’re quiet and they’re just glad Stiles could finally breakdown and be comforted.

One of my favorite things about Zoro is that he's caring. He cares. He gives a lot of fucks. He carries Nami when she tells him to, despite complaining. He carries her. He looks after Chopper, always keeping him in sight. He even cares that Sanji is there, because Sanji has to be there and he will make sure of that. He's always trusting Usopp's ability and yet always saving him when needed in a blink of an eye. He cares so much about his crew. He cares so much about their dreams and their roles in their group. He cares so much about his captain. The most. In a way that makes other people wonder if he cares, but Luffy doesn't have to wonder, because he knows. And that's enough for them. He cares about them all. And his all, Luffy, knows this. And caring is what makes him a good first mate.
