god’s honest truth 🍎
the funniest moment in dungeon meshi is when marcille is having her nightmare and brings up her dead bird while also talking about her dead dad, saying “papa and pipi” and laios automatically assumes pipi is marcilles third nonbinary parent on top of her mom and dad
i think it's unfortunate that though games like the sims and the new tomodachi life are getting lauded for their lgbt representation (which is great and necessary, don't get me wrong), i haven't seen much discussion about how they severely lack any kind of disability representation. no wheelchairs or other mobility aids like canes or crutches, no amputee options. sims 4 only recently added blood glucose monitors and hearing aids in create-a-sim, but there's no gameplay functionality to go with them. i was trying to make a disabled oc in tomodachi life and i just think it sucks that lots of folks still can't make a character that truly represents them, even in 2026.
It makes me fucking sick to see so many people trying to excuse away the lack of disability rep in the game ("well it's very difficult and would have taken them a long time 🥺")
And thinking "but they have pronouns and great hair textures!" like that makes a fucking iota of difference that they've completely ignored a giant swathe of people.
And I could handle it, because it's the status quo, no one ever gives a fuck about disabled people, and you fucking cunts will take every opportunity to 'bEaN sOuP🤪' us out of the conversation whenever we bring ourselves up,
But you fuckers acting like it's somehow progressive and amazing that a game which has no disability rep and can't even make a fucking hijab available... let's you have pronouns.
You're so fucking easy, the basic minimum in an area you guys care about and it's an intersectional humanitarian social justice win.
"It's just a game" it's a small scale example of how disabled people are treated everywhere else in life and how no one gives a shit about us except us.
jerma's small and gay island
This kills me every time
I want you to imagine what a Mii of Jerma would look like.
Hold it in your mind for a few seconds before you scroll down. Because I can guarantee it is NOTHING like the fucking Mii Jerma made of himself in his latest stream of the new Tomodachi Life game.

You can tell that Laios has an accent. His letters are more squishy and soft and Marcille's are more angular. He pronounces a ㅁ like it's an ㅇ.

Fucking BADASS
I like Neopet naming conventions because they all fall into the following categories:
Weird set of letters that don’t describe anything in particular but man do they sound good (Acara, Xweetok)
Puns (Flotsam, Jetsam)
Onomatopoeia of an animal noise (Buzz, Hissi)
Contains part of a real animal name (Cybunny, Moehog)
Real animal name but I don’t think you tried at all (Koi, Kau)
Named after real-life actor Bruce Forsyth because the original version of the pet was just a recolored photograph of him (Bruce)
