Shelterless Sky (with Out Of Orion)
Rich Montefiore and Steven Hewitt of "Out Of Orion" have collaborated musically since 2003. Over the past year, the lush soundscapes of "Out Of Orion" and "Phillip Traum and the Moral Sense" have provided inspiration for this album "Shelterless Sky".
Mr. Hewitt's prolific work tends to be charmingly complex and rhythmically exciting as well as disarmingly deconstructive. Mr. Montefiore creates a cohesive, linear and always inspiring thematic narrative in response. The synthesis forges melody, lyrics, and harmony together, inspired by the instrumental story into the evocative music created here! Often the music grows and evolves distinctly too, inspired by the original tonal palette, in response to the creative process.
A concerted effort building upon this model has resulted in this unique and inspired album "Shelterless Sky" blending vocals, electronica, folk and ambient elements into a coherent journey.
