Happy Birthday Keith Richards // December 18, 1943.
About myself I have no great illusions. I know what I am. I know what I’m good at. I know what I ain’t. I’m always hoping to surprise myself. But I do have a love of music and I do love to communicate it, and that’s the best I can do, really. And I can raise a good family, too.
Relatedly, HOLY GOD, look at this. They made a marker showing exactly where they sat for the photo, so you can re-create it.
When people dig this shit up in 3,000 years, they are deadass going to believe we worshiped the Beatles as deities. And I’m not even sure they’ll be wrong.

reasons why i love george harrison - 1/???
the way george viewed life was incredible. to me, it was amazing and quite comforting. the way he saw life and death is definitely one of the reasons why i love him, because he was so incredibly positive about it all even though he knew his days were limited. he said “well i dont even like it here anyway! i wont miss anything except for my family but i really dont mind death”. for basically my whole life i have been terrified of death but ever since i knew about george and saw how he viewed it, how he perceived it, i have been starting to accept it too and like george, i know that ill be more at peace and ill be ready because after all we all die and it is our choice how to see death. george wasnt suicidal at all and he didnt see death as a way of releasing his pain, he loved living but he also knew that death is part of life and he would be ready for it when it was his time to rest. “when you’ve seen beyond yourself then you may find, peace of mind is waiting there. and the time will come when you see we’re all one, and life flows on within you and without you.”
The very BEST of George Harrison in ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, 1964.

Son House, Skip James and John Hurt, Newport, RI 1965
This is the only photograph ever taken of Son House, Skip James and John Hurt, the three most influential blues icons from the 1960s. Although they were all from Mississippi, their paths never crossed until they were rediscovered and came back for second careers. This picture was taken at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

In 1998, Bill Morgan died, came back to life, and won the lottery twice. A car wreck had left him clinically dead for 14 minutes before he was revived into a 12- day coma. Within a year, he recovered, got engaged, and won a $17k car on a scratch card. When he was interviewed by a news station, they gave him a new scratch card, asked him to re-enact how he won the car, and he ended up winning $250k right then, live and on camera.
