Morty:

-Named Sunflower, to compliment Summer's name, and also because he's yellow. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-He got his cutie mark pretty early, and has no idea what it means. He might as well be a blank flank because how is my destiny a fucking flower? (It represents his pacifism and niceness or something) He gets teased for it. Sometimes he wishes he had something cooler and less vague.

-Everyone else in the family either has wings or a horn. Rick dragged him into his science stuff because he felt like he needed to help the only other earth pony in the family.

While Morty doesn't mind being an earth pony at all, he uses Rick's tools and adventures to discover himself and what his mark means.

Rick:

-Named River Frost ... because he's blue and white... and... River starts with Ri...

-Spent his entire childhood and early adulthood trying to get his cutie mark. He could swear that tinkering with things and making little gadgets was his special talent in life but it seemed like his flank never agreed.

He was about to accept being a blank flank forever, making his own purpose in life, starting a family, until Prime showed up, a Rick who thinks that showing other Ricks what they've been searching for their whole lives is doing them a favor, and that family gets in the way of his destiny.

The day he invented portal travel was the day he finally got it, and also the worst day because he realized his family was a sacrifice for knowing what his purpose is.

-Never liked being an earth pony. It makes him feel weak. He projects all of his insecurities about it on Morty, both shaming him for it and offering him the power he wanted as a colt.

Okay, remember when I said Louie would go into BSBA? I was wrong, @starlingdrawz said he'd go into Law school and that is completely correct. May would wanna get into Business though!!

I do think May and June would want to get actual names when it's time to forge documents, and to that I say the only good names for them are Anastasia and Charlotte- I think it was @cartoon-brainrot who came up with those first? they're PERFECT

also can you look me in the eye and say they wouldn't be popular mean girls,, THEY'RE INTENSE! They mean well, but they have no idea how regular interpersonal connections work except that you have to be the best and that, sometimes, you have to be mean to get what you want.
