After reaching 200 hours of drawing time I thought I should challenge myself by drawing something I don’t usually draw, so I drew The Infidel. My RP groups ship from our Coriolis game.

Hi all, let me share something I think is cool! Since around when I started this blog I’ve begun to stop-watching myself every time I hold a pen or a stylus in my hand, and today I reached my first mini milestone of 100 hours. Now, I’ve far from posted everything I’ve accomplished during those 100 hours on this blog. There’s plenty more. But because some of it is under NDA, and there’s a lot of super quick, and dirty studies that hold no interest to anybody, I won’t post those.

I got this idea from Valve’s Steam platform. I wanted something in my life that could offset the guilt I felt every time I was about to play something and had to see how much time I’ve already ‘wasted’ playing any particular game.

I keep track of my progress by jotting down the time I’ve spent drawing each day in a calendar. As I hate seeing an empty day where a big X should be it keeps me drawing pretty much every day. Even if it’s just for a few minutes.

I’ve experimented with a lot of motivational tools in my life and this is what has worked best for me thus far. So I figured, Maybe by posting it, it will help someone else out there who struggles with discipline. Now, let’s race to 10.000h!
