He shrugged a bit, gently brushing his fingers over her cheeks “wanna find out for yourself?” He asked softly, gently tipping her head back just a bit and looking at her for a moment. He was nervous, what if she didn’t want this type of affection? He didn’t want to do anything to upset her, but then - she seemed to be liking him well enough so far, so maybe it’d be okay after all. After another moment or two of deliberation, he made up his mind; carefully lifting her up onto the counter and pressing his lips to hers gently, hands resting on her hips.

it took dove a moment to realise what his words implied, a smile working it’s way onto her features when she put it together. she found his slight hesitation endearing and yeah, okay, it was also rather nice that he could lift her up so easily. instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck loosely and leant into the kiss for a moment. “so, that’s what you meant when you said you could show me some things?” the brunette teased after she pulled back, fingers idly playing with the hair at the nape of his neck as she spoke.

"Not entirely" he teased back gently, leaning in and trailing soft kisses down her neck. He bit his lip as she played with his hair, pulling his head back only slightly and reaching a hand up to brush his fingers over her cheek "du är så vacker" he said softly, pressing one more gentle kiss to her lips. He pulled back once more, a playful grin on his face "so. . .how's the weather up here?" He teased, hands on her hips again

“exactly!” dove agreed, making a show of glancing up at him as if to prove her point that he was tall. “tell me, how’s the weather all the way up there, ricky?” she joked, a playful smile following. “hm. you can show me some things? i’m very here for that. and i’ll be an excellent student. i promise!”

“which is exactly why i don’t need a second one, duh. well, as long as you know the place that has the best meatballs. that is a swedish thing, right ? or is that just an ikea thing,” she mused, finger tapping against her chin in thought. “honestly, babes, when you’re a mere five foot one pretty much anything is tall. but the point stands that if you were the guy in question, then i’m definitely down for being taught the important rules. i’ve gotta be able to appropriately cheer on my team with the cute mascot, alright ?”

He shook his head at that, laughing softly. “I suppose that would make me pretty tall to you.” he said softly, standing up from the chair he was seated on and gently brushing her hair back. “I think i can be the one to show you some things, if you actually want to learn. I do it for a living so - probably know the rules pretty well right?” he added with a laugh, “but yes, need to know what’s going on so you can cheer for the cute mascot team well.”

“perfect. i won’t bother with a tour guide now that i have an in with a local,” the brunette mused, standing up to clear their plates & place them into the dishwasher. “you know a guy, hm ?” she glanced back over her shoulder & arched a brow. “is he cute, kinda tall, nice accent ? because if it’s him, then yes, i’m interested. i might still pick the team with the cutest mascot, though.”

“in a way, you’re still getting a tour guide” he acknowledged, running his fingers through his hair as he watched her; shrugging a bit “Cute is subjective. he’s not the tallest but not short either, i guess there’s an accent too. . .you do seem a little interested” he mused, shaking his head with a laugh when she said she might just pick the team with the cutest mascot “i can’t even blame you for that one, sometimes it’s more fun to go for the mascots”

Video Diary #1

ricky had taken more than a few too many minutes to even find the diary room, still not quite knowing his way around the house. He took a seat on the chair, tucking his knees up into his chest. “This feels awkward” he commented before shaking his head and running his fingers through his hair. “Things have been good though, can’t complain too much. It seems like some people don’t really like Zayn much but he seems to be an okay guy? I don’t know, I’m just trying to stay out of the drama. Dove is really nice too, very easy to talk to and super sweet. I’d like to get to know her better but I don’t want to be too pushy either you know? Maybe I should just leave it alone and focus on the ‘game’ and playing to help Canine Companions for Independence. They train dogs to be assistance animals for people with disabilities and it’s really important work that they do, it would be nice to give them extra help if i can with this experience.” he commented, clearly a big supporter of that particular foundation. “But yeah, so far i like it here, hoping it stays that way”

“honestly, it’s my dream to tour europe. so, hopefully one of these days i’ll be able to do that. & you know sweden will definitely be on that list. i’ll be counting on you to tell me all about the best local places to visit, alright ?” dove replied, nodding along as he spoke. “you’re right, i should definitely get to more games. i just have to pick a team to support first. & well, i should probably learn the rules too. i don’t wanna get caught out cheering at the wrong times. yikes. that’d be embarrassing,” she joked. “not really. not as often as i’d like, anyways.”

“I think I can manage that, I grew up like a half hour outside of Stockholm” He said with a laugh before giving her a little grin “Could just go see whoever plays in your ‘hometown’ and start there. but, lucky for you i know a guy who might be able to teach you a little bit, if you’re interested” he teased, leaning against the counter before nodding slightly “I can relate to that, hard not being able to go home as much as you want. but i guess that makes time there more special yeah?”

“sweden ? i’ve never been, but it looks gorgeous. do you get back home often ? hockey’s cool, though. i’ve only been to one game, but it was fun. which team do you play for ?” she asked, genuinely interested in his answer. “i relate to her on a spiritual level there. sounds like you’ll be experienced enough to stop me burning the kitchen down then, right ? perfect !” dove joked, a bright smile following. “washington. but new york’s home for me, y’know ? ”

“You should go sometime, it’s definitely gorgeous - in my own very biased opinion” he said with a laugh “I get home in the summer, usually. That’s about it though, our season pretty much starts in September with camp and ends sometime between April and June usually - depending on playoffs. I was with Anaheim since my draft year but i got traded to Pittsburgh about a month before the season ended, I don’t know where I’ll be for the next season yet but i guess we’ll see. You should get to more games though” he said with a smile, before laughing at her next statement “I mean, i hope so. I don’t want either of us to be responsible for burning the place down.” he teased, “do you get home often?”

“My second guess was lacrosse, i don’t know why. Glad the first one was right” he teased, before looking over at her again. “Water polo.” he deadpanned, but the smirk on his face quickly gave him away “Yeah, hockey. That was a good guess” he acknowledged, nodding along “It’s definitely been nice so far, hopefully it stays good and relaxing or I don’t know what i’ll do”

i used to think that ‘different’ equaled terrible but i’m giving it a shot and trying to stick to drama-free people. you’re from sweden? i fucking love sweden. i’ve only been there a few times but it seemed like a great place. 

I think that’s a fair assessment, but it sounds like you might be having a change in mindset yeah? I am, yeah. Sollentuna, it’s about...half hour from Stockholm? I love it there, only usually get back in the summers now though. You’re from the UK right?

"Sweden, actually. I live over here for most of the year for hockey, but Sweden is home." He replied softly, nodding when she mentioned he'd need to show her how to make them. "I think I can manage that, yeah. My ex used to call me her personal chef, she couldn't cook at all. I'm not the best but I get by." he explained with a laugh, getting up to take care of his plate. "What about you, where are you from?" He asked, looking over at her. She was easy to talk to, and he was grateful for that.

Rickard Rakell (When your friends *try* to make you look ridiculous, only to realize it’s apparently not possible.) (Raks’ bachelor party) also included a day on the golf course – where Rakell had to dress in a German Oktoberfest-themed outfit – and a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant.The outfit Rakell’s buddies picked for the meal was a doozy – a fuchsia suit with zebra accents inspired by the bassist from the Swedish children’s rock band called Electric Banana Band. The intent was to try to embarrass him a bit, but somehow, he managed to pull it off.

I mean, hey, if you wanna eat some great cooking, you’re not making the wrong choice here. I’m trying to figure out how much pasta to have delivered for a mass meal, because everyone seems to love this idea. Don’t Worry Darling is a new film with Harry and I coming out in September! You should watch the trailer! 

I mean, who doesn’t love pasta really? Except i guess people who try and stay away from carbs. or people who are gluten free, but then, you can probably buy gluten free pasta. Either way, that would be fun to do a big dinner with everyone i think - I can help too if you need. I’m no chef but i’m not bad in the kitchen, so i’m told. Oh! well that sounds fun, did it take long to film? Have you done other films before?

I will warn you, I have no filter when I’m cooking. And I tend to let it ALL out. On another note. Has anyone seen the Don’t Worry Darling trailer yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

the brunette arched a brow & tilted her head slightly. “well, i like to think of myself as a good surprise. still, sorry about the fright. i’m absolutely not used to sharing a house with other people,” dove admitted, moving to shake the others hand. “thanks. it’s lovely to meet you, ricky. & thanks for the pancakes. you make quite the welcoming committee,” she joked, moving to take a seat at the kitchen island. “i did. am i giving off those newbie vibes ? how about you ? have you been here for long ?”

“to be fair, i didn’t say you were a bad surprise” he pointed out before nodding “I shared with people off and on, but i hadn’t really seen anyone here yet and forgot other people were around i guess?” he said with a shrug, taking a seat at the island himself “You’re welcome, i like to cook - at least sometimes, especially things from back home” he explained before shaking his head “not really, no. I’m pretty new here myself.”
