given  the  new  update,  it’s  getting  harder  to  find  things  through  the  search  and  tags  feature.  this  masterlist  serves  as  a  location  to  find  rp  blogs  for  canon  and  original  characters  based  in  video  game  universes  and  lore.  the  navigation  allows  you  to  find  different  video  game  blogs  to  follow  and  write  with,  and  for  others  to  find  your  blog  to  follow  and  write  with.  here  is  what  you  need  to  do  to  get  added  to  the  navigation:

whenever I’m feeling sad I remember that while Dr. Light lives in a cool future where robots walk among man, he would still be terrible with meme culture - if that’s a thing in 20xx.

Dr. Light, for all of his outgoing-ness ( that’s a word, right? ) was rather shy in large crowds where he knew no-one. Rock, it seems, was the only person he really knew here. Oh boy. He wanted to interact with more people - but hadn’t the faintest idea where to start. He is suddenly aware that he has no idea how to introduce himself to these people currently. 

❝I-I’m so nervous...❞ He muttered, stuffing his hands in his lab-coat pockets. It would be different if he knew these people - he could ramble about robotics all day to them if that was the case but he was a stranger surrounded by OTHER strangers.

❝Excuse me? Um.. m-may I ask if you’ve seen my son? Small, wears a blue helmet?  I-I was hoping he’d introduce me to some other people here. I-I would introduce myself but-❞    Oh yes, Dr. Light is NAILING conversation right now. He had asked this to no-one in particular, not feeling particularly assertive to direct it at one certain person.

Let’s hope someone heard him...

Dr. Light was honored, really. To think, he was able to slip onto the cruise ship like everyone else - he didn’t consider himself a “fighter” at all. In fact, his only reason for being here was to support his son. Well, that and give zap floor immunity. Apparently support roles are good enough in the event host’s eyes, as nobody has shown him any complaint for his being there.

He was actually quite excited to be here. Whoever was running this was very nice to allow for the spirit’s inclusion. Roll had pestered and pestered him to pack his belongings ( what little belongings he had as a literal spirit, thanks contrived conveniences! ) and board the cruise ship with her. He had originally intended to refuse to stay behind and see if he couldn’t catch up on work. Roll had other plans.

She did the puppy dog eyes on him.

No parent can resist the puppy dog eyes. At least, he couldn’t. So here he was. As long as he wasn’t going up very high on extremely fast rides or giving speeches, he was going to have a swell time. Except, it was really hot and he was still dressed up in full formal attire. Hey, this decision was kinda last-minute in his defense.

Hands in his lab coat pockets, he’s picking out faces in the crowd looking a particular -

❝Rock, my boy! Hello!❞ Well, that didn’t take long. Paternal instincts, probably. ❝Rock, it’s such a joy to see you here! Are you having fun, son?❞  He takes his hands from his pockets, arms spread wide - ready for an embrace, should Rock choose to. ❝I’m so glad that Roll dragged me away from work. I missed you and I’m glad you’re here.❞

  Taking a pause, excitement nearly leaving him breathless, the doctor continues. ❝I must say, whoever running this event is very nice, it gives you children a chance to relax. I simply must thank them later, if I can find them. Oh, and I should also extend thanks for them for not kicking me off this boat as I’m not technically a “smasher” in the tournaments, haha!❞

The “sister” of the Light family is definitely excited for this cruise. Regardless if spirits are allowed on this trip, she’s pulling her father towards the dock, looking for the cruise ship. By golly, if her brother could go - she would be going too. She wouldn’t let Dr. Light have any other way. Her dad works too much - even when they’re spirits and therefore lacking physical forms by some weird contrivance. They were still technically “Smashers”, right?

❝Hey, do you think we’ll see Rock?❞ Roll asks, looking up at the man. Dr Light shrugs his shoulders, easily bemused by her “daughter’s” antics.

    ❝I don’t know, dear. It depends if Rock wanted to go. If he is here, that’s great! But if not, that’s okay too. One cannot simply force others to have fun themselves. You can certainly encourage someone to loosen up every once and while, but is ultimately THEIR choice.❞

Roll knew her “Father” was right, and she gives a dramatic huff. ❝Yeah, I know.I’m just hoping I can see him here, that’s all! Hey, we can’t keep slacking, we’ve gotta find the boat! Come on!❞
