“WHEN A PERSON TELLS YOU THAT YOU HURT THEM, YOU DON’T GET TO DECIDE THAT YOU DIDN’T”
i saw this quote in a gifset the other day, & it summed up something i’ve been feeling abt the rpc for a long, long time. if someone comes to you & tells you that you hurt them, don’t argue. don’t try to defend yourself & make excuses. !! apologize & move forward !! change the behavior, change your mentality. do not erase people’s triggers, fears, sexualities, gender identities, etc. by making excuses or saying they shouldn’t be offended. fact of the matter is, they were offended, & nothing can change that. but you can apologize, educate yourself, & move on.
