my opinion that nobody asked for on the nick sturniolo situation:

i know i may get hate for this but i wanna say how i feel about it.

what nick said wasn’t right. i don’t think he meant it as an insult to those who tend to stim or anything like that though. i think nick was joking around with his brother, but didn’t think through the fact that what he was saying could possibly be offensive to some communities. i think nick needs to take responsibility for this and apologize, but i do not think this is a reason to cancel him. he lives with matt and chris and they are brothers, so they are obviously going to make rude jokes about each other. i believe people are overreacting about the whole situation. i struggle with mental health issues, which i know isn’t the exact same thing as stimming, but still i do struggle with that and i was in no way offended by what he said. some people are so fucking quick to turn on nick, one day saying he’s their idol, then the next day saying how he deserves to get cancelled. i think a lot of people forget that nick is sassy and quick witted, and makes dark jokes. now i don’t believe that just because he makes dark jokes that he gets to make jokes about autistic tendencies. i think nick needs to apologize, but i don’t think people need to drag him in this.
