Wuthering Heights 2026: Breaking Down the Tension, the Obsession, The Love and The Pain
Did you see this Valentine’s Day? Let’s talk about it.
I went to see Wuthering Heights on Valentine’s Day. And it stuck with me for a whole week. So I chose to go see it again and got heartbroken again. It’s safe to say I walked out both times, in love with it.
Not the soft, rose-petal kind of love.
The dramatic, aching, storm-on-the-moors kind.
Directed by Emerald Fennell, the 2026 adaptation of Wuthering Heights takes Emily Brontë’s gothic masterpiece and drenches it in intensity. Starring Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, the film isn’t interested in being quiet or restrained. It’s passionate. Stylized. Almost feverish.
And honestly? That’s why I loved it.
