for the honor of Steven being on air for 6 whole years. i saw this show’s pilot in 2012, i think, and thought it was cute. but the end half of s1 really got me in. SU is one of the most influential pieces of media in my life honestly, just for its values, thoughtfulness, and cast of characters that i feel are the most human i’ve seen. 

the cast wrote a stage show about their lives - this breaks the fourth wall, it’s not really happening and i don’t think it would. but if they knew to celebrate they’d celebrate like this, making a cool musical in beach-a-palooza.
