〔 KiseRiko 〕 。 / GOT SOME INSPIRATIONN YESS *^*)/ so I hope you'll enjoy this one!! ^_^ coachxriko coachxriko-thesecond here's LE other one ^_^ xD \ 。 XxxxxxXxxXxxxxxXxxXxXXxXxxxxX When the blond first started courting the "demon" coach of Seirin, he stood in front of the many who were in the gym and declared it. Well, he wasn't really in front, it's just that when you have someone as famous as Kise Ryouta in a place like that, it just seemed like he was always in front of everyone. "You've been coming here lately, Bakase." She had said with a cold tone as she jotted down a few numbers. A tear usually formed in the corner of his shining eyes when she called him that. It even made him smile a bit. At least she wasn't kicking him like his Kasamatsu-senpai did. But that day, he had a surprised expression. Maybe sort of a curious one also. "You don't know, Rikocchi? I thought I told you yesterday?" "Is it to have an one-on-one with Kagami-kun?" Riko asked, flipping through the many papers attached to her board. "You really don't remember?" Kise pouted, slowly closing the distance between them. "Kise-kun—" "Remember yesterday how I said I was interested in you, Rikocchi?!" He began to whine a bit, causing her to be a little irritated. She remembered him saying that, but hadn't really thought about it. "What about it?" "Rikocchi!" A smile that the coach had never seen before appeared on the blond's face. He stood in front of her, slowly wrapping his arms around her. "I'm here to flirt with you, isn't it obvious?" He said, a bit of his cheerful tone being forced out with his serious one. Ever since that day, she has received nothing but crap from the girls at her school (which was pretty much every girl at her school) who had been there when Kise had said that. She was glad that he asked them to keep it a secret, but she didn't know how much more she could take of this. Seirin's practices would be slightly interrupted with Kise coming around at random times along with other girls from his school and Seirin who tailed him. Irritated and embarrassed by his constant compliments, she would immediately kick him out. This was the other reason the girls did not approve of Riko besides jealousy. But at the end of practice, he would be sitting outside, waiting just for her with a smile on his face. No fangirls, no fanboys, no famous people, just him. He would have such a serious expression, then when she would appear, he would brighten up. "Rikocchi!!" He shouted, nearly knocking her over when he attacked her with a big hug. "Y-you're still waiting?!" She asked in shock. So many times she had told him to stop waiting. But he wouldn't. Whenever he had no practice or had some free time, he would always go spend that time with her. "You didn't dodge me this time! Are you slowly falling for me yet?" He asked, looking down at her with a smile. "Idiot." She said in a cold tone, causing Kise to stumble. "Wait up, Rikocchi!!" He called out to her when she started walking away. For 3 months, it had been just like this. To be honest, she was expecting him to do something crazy throughout these months. After all, he was Kise Ryouta, and he did declare that he wanted to go out with her in front of so many. But Kise hadn't gone farther than just hugging and complimenting her. She was glad that's all he did. But somewhere inside her she felt that it wasn't right. "Rikocchi." Kise said after walking in silence for awhile. "Am I not good enough?" His question made her stop. Kise walked a few steps ahead, then turned back to face her. "I know you were hurt by some of my fangirls. And my style in basketball is copying...so maybe you don't like that?" The confidence in his voice seemed to be fading, and it was crushing her heart into pieces. "What are you talking about, Bakase?! Not good enough? That's the complete opposite!" Riko responded without a second thought. "That's why...I don't know—" "Rikocchi, that's not true..." "Huh?" "You're the one who's too good for me..." Suddenly, all the memories she had made with Kise over the past few months began to pop into her mind, causing her heart to race. It felt like there was a great weight being removed from her shoulder. Her cheeks exploded into red and she began to see him in a new light. It was like she finally accepted and set the feelings she contained in the corner of her heart free. Now, she had her answer. "Rikocchi?" "Ugh...how do I say this.." Kise stared at Riko who was clearly avoiding eye contact. "What do you mean?" "I think I have fallen for you..." She said in the most quiet and soft voice she had spoken in her life. Riko hoped that he didn't hear her, but to her amazement, he did. His golden eyes sparkled and he looked more happier than he ever did before. "Really?!" Riko's cheeks turned darker when she made eye contact with him. Her lips parted to answer him, but her expression was already more than enough. He hugged her tight while making sure he didn't crush her. "I promise I'll make you happy, Rikocchi!!" He exclaimed in happiness. "O-okay! Okay!!" She stuttered, squirming a bit to get out of his arms. Riko swore that the embarrassment was slowly killing her. After awhile, the brunette finally gave up on resisting and let the younger boy hold her tight. From that day on, many insecurities poured into her mind when she remembered just how popular he was. Would she be good enough? When that question went into her mind, his words washed those thoughts away. "You're the one who's too good for me."
《Careless》
「 KagaRiko 」 。 [ coachxriko coachxriko-thesecond HERE *^*)/ finally posting it 😂👌] 。 "We're finally back at the beach!!" The overly excited coach slipped her sandals off and ran onto the grainy yet soft sand. As for her team, they slugged right behind her as they died from the scorching heat. "How...does...she have..so much...energy??" Koganei sighed, dropping the cooler onto the ground as he fell to the ground. "I don't even know..." Tsuchida groaned as he walked after the coach with the speed of a sloth. Their coach's father had driven them to their destination and throughout the whole ride, he would glare daggers at the boys. "Make one move on my daughter and I'll shoot you." Was what his eyes seemed to say. This was also one of the reasons for the boys' exhaustion. "What are you guys standing there for?" Riko asked, her head slightly tilting to the side. "If you're not going to enjoy it, then I'll make you~" Her eyes sparkled as she brought out her clipboard from the bag way too big for her size was in. Quickly, the boys answered yes by nodding their heads or saying "yes, coach!" Or just doing a strange noise which she took as a yes. "Ugh...she's a devil..." Kagami groaned while placing the multiple bags he was holding onto the ground. "Coach might get mad if she heard you say that, Kagami-kun." Kuroko said, the drops of sweat on his forehead ready to fall like rain. "She already made me run on the beach for so many hours, made me even walk on my hands! What el—" The ace stopped when his red orbs focused on the older girl. She removed the white cover up she had been wearing and her dark shorts. Her swimsuit was different than before. It was pure white and actually smaller than the one she had worn before. This showed off a bit of her curves that had actually grown. Well, the growths were small, but they were noticeable. "—gami-kun? Kagami-kun??" Kuroko snapped the redhead back into reality by placing Nigou in front of his face. Kagami screamed, catching the attention of the whole team and a few strangers. "Kagami-kun, what w—ah! Nigou, you look so cute in your little hat!!" Riko squealed, forgetting all about Kagami's high-pitched scream. Kuroko held Nigou up like in the Lion King, causing Riko to chuckle. She stood on the tip of her toes and grabbed Nigou. "So cute~!" She hugged the little dog as she spun around. A small smile appeared on Kuroko's face when he saw Nigou's happy expression. "Let's go play in the water!" Riko shouted as she ran for the water. "Ah.." Kuroko held his hand out, but didn't have the heart to take back his dog just yet. He turned to Kagami who had an angry expression upon his face. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, KUROKO?!?" "You were too busy staring at Coach, so you didn't hear me. I was going—" "Huh?" "...what is it, Kagami-kun?" "I...I WASN'T STARING AT COACH!!" "Kagami-kun, you were." "I WASN'T!!" "But—" Obviously flustered, the ace walked over to a food booth, leaving the rest of the team surprised. "Was he really?" Furihata asked, blinking twice from the shock. "Huh?! K-Kagami is just like a kid! There's no way!!" Hyūga forced a laugh. "He was." Kiyoshi nodded while stroking his chin. Truthfully, Kuroko had noticed Kagami's attraction to their coach lately. However, whenever Kuroko would try to bring it up, Kagami would either be distracted with something else or he would completely deny it. "Let's just forget about that and find a spot!" Hyūga broke the short silence. Luckily, they found a good spot and easily set their things down. And so the team dispersed around the beach, some playing in the water, some heading to the booth where Kagami was eating pretty much everything that was edible, and some stayed under the umbrella while watching the waves or cute girls they saw walking around. Once Kagami had his fill (the booth ran out of ingredients and closed for the day cause he ate so much), looked around as he thought of what to do next. "Damn, it's hot...I guess I'll go in the water then." The redhead said to himself as he walked toward the shore. That's when he noticed a familiar girl in the water, hectically searching in the water. The boy stepped into the water, the waves cool against his skin. Really, it felt nice, but his focus at the moment was on Riko. "Coach?" Kagami called to the girl, who quickly looked up. "Ah! Kagami-kun! I need a favor!" "A favor?" "Well, I just need your help..Nigou's hat fell into the water and I'm searching for it.." Riko explained as she looked around once again. "Huh??" Kagami looked back to the spot the team had picked out on the beach and saw the phantom player drying off their little mascot. "C'mon help me look!" "Alright! I mean okay..." The two began to search and search... Finally, after a few minutes (which seemed like /forever/), Kagami pulled a soggy fabric from the water. "Is this it?" He asked, examining it from all sides. Riko's expression brightened, causing Kagami to blush a bit. "Yes! Good job, Kagami-kun!" She praised him as she threw her arms into the air. "Kagami-kun?" Riko asked, seeing that his expression went from happy to completely shocked. She felt a strong, cool wave hit her from behind, making her stumble. "That was surprising..." The coach shivered a bit from the sudden wave. "Ye—" "Kagami-kun?" "WHAT?!?? I— I DIDN'T MEAN TO LOOK— AHHHH!!!!!" The boy immediately covered his face and faced away. The coach looked down, noticing that her top was untied and floating around her stomach. In a split second, her whole face became engulfed in red. Riko kept her mouth shut and grabbed her top. She held the cloth tightly to her chest area. "I-I'm sorry!!" Kagami managed to stutter, his head still turned away and his face turning redder by each each second. "I-it's alright, that...just never mind." Riko let out a shaky sigh. 'How embarrassing.' The coach studied her surroundings. There were people all around her. How was she going to get through this? Hesitantly, Kagami walked closer to his coach, causing her to look up at him in surprise. Their faces were exploding in red. "B-Bakagami..!! What are you—" "C-coach..j-just walk behind me...I'll help you get to the beach so you can you know..." Kagami explained quietly. "Wha—?! I..." Riko looked around, completely flustered and clueless about what to do. "L-let me help you.." He said quietly as he faced in the direction of the shore. It wasn't like she had much of a choice, did she? Riko sighed, her cheeks becoming redder if possible. "T-thank you, Kagami-kun." She said softly as she began to walk right behind him. "No problem...c-coach." Riko was disappointed in herself that day for being so careless, but little did she know that she wasn't the only one. Kagami had also been careless and clueless that day, which led him to slowly fall for his coach.

First Date (Riko x Midorima) no. 14
For rikoscanniing ^_^
~~~~~
The restaurant was surprisingly quiet. There weren’t many people present, wink only about every few tables being occupied. Riko waited at a table the most farthest from the entrance. It was dimly lit, with a candle in the center. She sat there, palm holding her cheek, waiting for her date to arrive.
She didn’t want to go overboard on this date. Knowing who she was going with, she tried her best to try to look classy. She didn’t own any dresses, so this resulted in her visiting of four different stores before she finally found a cheap, but pretty looking black dress. She owned a pair of black flats, so she didn’t have yo worry about shoes. And hair? Well, she didn’t much to it, only because she really couldn’t do much to it. She just put on her usual two pins.
It was rather odd for Midorima to ask her like this suddenly. She always looked forward to their first date, but she didn’t know it would be so soon. She remembered how he just showed up during practice one day and bluntly asked her, ignoring all the flabbergasted expressions of the basketball team.
Riko began to close her eyes when suddenly she heard his voice.
“Riko.”
She was startled and looked up. Her eyes widened to take in the scene. It felt rather odd to see Midorima not wearing his school uniform or his Shutoku jersey. He was wearing a dim gray dress shirt with a striped navy blue and white necktie. His hair was even combed.
“Midorima-kun.” Riko greeted him. “You look really …nice.” She hesitantly said.
“You look lovely yourself nanodayo.” He sat down adjusting his glasses.
It wasn’t long before a waiter came by and they ordered drinks. While Riko sat there somewhat uncomfortable because of the silence, Midorima sat there with his arms crossed, looking down. After a few long minutes, he finally spoke.
“How did your father react when you left the house looking the way you are?” He asked without looking up.
“He asked where I was going and I told him I was heading out with a friend. He asked who and I just told him it was a friend. He grew upset and I told him to quit asking and I left.”
Midorima grunted in agreement. Riko felt her face flush. She was so nervous just sitting here in front of him, but why? There’s no reason for her to feel like this. The waiter came back with their drinks and took their order. Riko has already decided what she was getting before Midorima showed up. In the end, Midorima ended up ordering what she did.
“Midorima-kun.” Riko said.
He opened an eye and looked at her.
“Why did you ask me out on this date so suddenly?” She asked nervously. She’ll admit, she wanted to go with him, she just didn’t expect it so soon.
“Did you not want to?” He asked with both eyes open now.
“Its not that, I just, wonder about why…”
He adjusted his glasses and looked at her.
“I find interest in you. You’re different and your way of thinking interests me as well. And, I like older women.”
Riko arched a high brow. The last sentence surprised her greatly, but she let out a relieved sigh and smiled shyly.
The waiter came back with their matching plates of food and the two began to eat, Midorima slower than Riko. Riko ended up not being able to finish her meal while Midorima managed to eat the rest.
“We might not have talked much, but I really enjoyed tonight.” Riko said.
“I agree. Your mere presence was satisfying enough.”
Riko blushed hard. She looked down then scratched her head. Before she could respond, the waiter came back with the bill. Riko reached out to grab it but Midorima snatched it before she could.
“I’ll take care of this nanodayo.” He said.
“Are you sure? We can split it-”
“I said I’ll handle it.”
She could have sworn she saw a small smile glint across his lips. Riko let out a thank you, and stayed relatively quiet. After Midorima paid, the two got up and left the still-quiet restaurant. The two walked alongside each other down the street.
“Your dress reallt suits you nanodayo.” Midorima said.
“Thank you, I had to go through four different stores to find it.”
“You don’t own a dress?” He looked at her.
“Now I do.” She said looking down.
“I’m rather surprised. A girl with your figure should be able to wear any dress and look nice in it.”
Riko was left speechless. This is the most she’s ever heard Midorima say to her, let alone in general, especially about something personal.
Two strangers walked past them on her side. Midorima instinctively looped his arm through hers, bringing her a tug closer. Riko placed her other hand on his arm, feeling more secure.
“It never hurts to be careful.” He said.
Riko agreed. The two walked closely, through the dark streets and back towards the metro station. Riko thanked him for tonight, but he stopped her.
“Save the goodbye when you’re home.” He said.
“What do you mean?”
“It’s late and I’ll feel uneasy if I left you to walk home in your own.” He said, finally showing his rare smile. Riko smiled back, looping her arm through his. Riko looked forward to their second date.
『First Date』
[ May seem a bit rushed cause I had to rewrite this ;-_- Requested by coachxriko (/*^*)/ I finally did it ! QAQ)b ] 💙 KuroRiko 💙 The caramel haired coach and the phantom player had been dating for about two months. They were close enough to call each other by name. They also already had their first kiss. But they still hadn’t gone out on a date. She was busy with practice and so was he. He had a extracurricular activities and so did she! After searching and making time for themselves, they were finally able to find the perfect time to spend time with each other. But on that fateful day, just as the brunette was about to leave for their meeting place, she received a text from the shadow player. “I’m sorry, Riko, but could you come to this address instead?” Curiously, the coach scrolled down to read the address. She didn’t mind, since the place wasn’t too far, but why did he change the meeting place? “Sure. Though I’d like to ask, why the change?” Riko sent the message, receiving a response almost immediately after. “I’ll explain when you arrive. And thank you.” His response piqued her curiosity. Did he planned something for her? Or maybe something bad had happened? There was only one way to find out. “No problem. See you soon. :)” “:)” His short and sweet responses made her heart soar. She put on her outside shoes and unlocked the door. The girl was stopped when she heard a loud voice. “WAIT, RIKO-TAN!” The familiar whiny and deep voice called to her. “FORGET THAT GHOST BOY AND STAY WITH DADDY TODAY—URGH.” Riko cut him off by throwing her slippers in his face. “You know I’ve been waiting for this for a long time, Papa! I’ll see you later.” She waved, ignoring his loud pleas for her to stay. Riko knew her father had accepted Kuroko already, although he still tried to get in the way (another reason why they hadn’t met up until now) making her wonder if that was just a dream. As she walked down the streets, she continued to wonder what the change was about. But that all went away once she had only one turn left to go. “Well, here goes…” The coach took a deep breath and turned the corner. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the fairly small building just down the road. “A daycare?” The brunette walked up to the building, examining the sign covered in colorful handprints and drawings glued to the short, white fence. “Is this the right address…?” She thought aloud, her eyes bouncing from the toy cars to the tiny houses little children could fit in. In the corner of her eye, she saw two little girls staring at each other then at her. They jumped out of the bushes and ran up to Riko. As they grabbed onto her legs, they looked up at her. “You’re the onee-san we’ve been waiting for right?!” “I’m sure of it this time!!” “W-what? I don’t know—” “You’re Tetsuya-onii-san’s wife, right??” The girls asked in unison. “W-w-wife?!?” “Yuni, Yuki, I told you not to go up to people passing by.” The two girls turned around and ran up to the phantom player. “But Tetsuya-onii-san! We got the right person this time right?! Right!?” The little girl on the left pointed back at Riko, who had a flustered expression. “She’s your wife, right??!” The girl on the right asked in clear anticipation. A small smile appeared across the boy’s face and he nodded. “Yes, you did get the right person. But she’s not my wife, she’s my girlfriend.” “Then, she’s going to be your wife?” Riko swore she could see Kuroko’s cheeks become a tint of red, but she could barely look at him now. The girls’ words and innocence were making her too embarrassed to look. “Maybe,” Riko’s cheeks exploded into red. “But you shouldn’t worry about that now. You two are missing snack time. Today there’s cookies—” The girls immediately disappeared as they screamed the name of the sweet dessert. Kuroko’s smile grew and Riko laughed at their reactions. The brunette walked up next to the blue haired boy. “So?” Riko asked with a smile. She was clearly interested in what the phantom had to say. After a short silence, Kuroko began to explain. “The caretaker called me earlier today asking if I could help out because the person who was supposed to help is sick. I was about to decline, but Yuni and Yuki took over the phone and told the rest I was coming today…” A sweat drop fell down Riko’s forehead. “I see…” She stifled her laughter. To think that someone who had such a low presence would be so popular with children. But she understood in a way, after all she was a bit head over heels for him. “I didn't– I’m sorry.” The brunette smiled. “It’s alright. Things don’t always go as planned.” “Riko…” “That’s what makes life interesting!” She felt a light weight on her shoulder. Riko’s heart began to skip a few beats as she looked to her side. He had rested his head on her shoulder. “T-Tetsuya?” “You’re right. Thank you, Riko.” His sigh of relief made her worry. Did he think that he would make her upset? She would never be upset with him! Unless he did something reckless or unforgivable, but she trusted him. The coach lightly stroked his hair. Kuroko lifted his head then planted a kiss on her cheek. Riko’s cheeks flared red in embarrassment. “Let’s go. They’ve been excited to meet you.” His rare smile slightly grew. She was surprised she hadn’t fainted by now. “I can’t..wait to meet them!” She managed to say without stuttering. During their first month together, she learned that Kuroko really was quite bold, in and out of basketball. But no matter how many times he had done things like that, he never failed to fluster and surprise her. As they went inside, the loud chatter of the children entered their ears. “Wait here.” Kuroko said softly. When Riko nodded, he went to the fairly large woman standing at the desk. She watched as he conversed with her. The woman turned to look at Riko then gladly nodded. The coach smiled nervously as the woman approached. “So you’re the lucky girl who got that gentleman!!” She laughed aloud. Riko wondered how many times she was going to feel like running out and screaming in embarrassment as her cheeks tinted red. “Hello, nice to meet you..!” Riko slightly bowed her head. “No need to be so formal, sweetie! We’re like family here.” The woman gave her a warm smile, causing the brunette to calm down. “Now, Riko was it?” “Yes..” “Oh good, I was just making sure!” The woman smiled, cleared her throat and rang a bell. The children quickly settled down. They turned their attention towards the woman. “Everyone! There’s a special someone who came here to play with you today! She’s very close with Tetsuya-onii-san, so I know you’ll get along with her! Say hi to Riko-onee-san!” The woman put out a hand towards Riko. She watched the children’s eyes sparkle as they stared at her. They quickly rose from their seats and surrounded her. “You know Tetsuya-onii-san?!” “He’s super cool!! Like a ninja!” “Let’s play together, Riko-onee-san!” “I want to play with her though!!” A drop of sweat rolled down the teen’s forehead as the children exploded requests to her. “O-one at a time…!” She managed to say, through all the chaos. However, they weren’t paying attention. “Umm…who wants to hear a story?” The children began to jump up and down as they rose their hands. “I do! I do!!” “Me! Me!” Riko smiled as they went to sit at the large round carpet. “Hm…so there once was a girl who was very lonely…” The coach started and as she continued, she added many random details. Despite this, they were engrossed in the story. Once she had finished, they ran up to her again, bombarding her with questions and requests. Suddenly, they all heard a loud yet soft voice. “Who wants to play hide-and-go-seek?” All the children froze, some looking terrified while others hesitantly looked around. Once they all spotted Kuroko, they all agreed by running away and screaming that the “Big Old Miss” was it. “HUH? WHO’S BIG AND OLD?!” The caretaker stomped over to the middle room, causing many children to squeal in amusement. “ONE…” She started to count slowly as she covered her eyes. “TWO…” “Tetsuya!” Riko said in a whisper as she pointed towards the large desk piled with papers. Kuroko smiled softly and held her hand, almost pulling her there. The two squished under the desk. Luckily, they were able to fit with their size. It made them feel grateful for their height for once. Riko’s smile grew as she stifled her laughter. “To think I would be telling stories and playing hide and seek again…” She sighed, unconsciously resting her head upon the boy’s shoulder. “Yes.” The shadow player chuckled softly. The two sat in silence until they heard the woman shout. “READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!!” She laughed evilly. Riko stifled her laughter. “She’s good at this.” “She’s been here for a long time.” “That’s good.” They silently stayed in that position for awhile, until Kuroko broke the silence. “I’m sorry.” Riko’s caramel orbs focused on Kuroko’s light blue ones. “I know you planned so much. And you were excited. Then we ended up not doing anything that you wanted.” From his tone of voice, she could feel his guilt. Of course, she was looking forward to it all, but she wasn’t sad, not at all. The coach shook her head. “Don’t feel sorry. Believe me when I say this, I’m having the time of my life.” Riko chuckled. “I know it didn’t go as planned, but there’s always next time. And if that doesn’t go as planned. Then there’s the time after that!” Kuroko’s growing smile warmed her heart. He slightly tightened his grip on her hand, reminding her that they were still holding each other’s hands. “Thank you.” The boy planted a kiss on her cheek again, this time closer to her neck. Riko felt her cheeks exploding into red, but she didn’t want to hide now. If he was going to be bold, then so was she. Quickly, she placed her lips on his and lingered. When the brunette removed her lips, she did her best to keep her eyes on him. With just that, she got the reaction she wanted. Kuroko’s face had become engulfed in red. Well, Riko’s face did too, yet it was worth it in her eyes. Such a sweet moment, but they have to end sometime. The two entered back into reality when a little girl’s voice shouted. “LOOK! I FOUND THEM!! AND THEY’RE BEING ALL LOVEY DOVEY!!” She laughed as she pointed under the desk. Now, the teens’ faces were as red as cherries. How could they have forgotten? They were in a daycare, playing hide-and-seek. That’s when they realized, they were never going to forget their “first date.”
Riko sent the message, receiving a response almost immediately after. "I'll explain when you arrive. And thank you." His response piqued her curiosity. Did he planned something for her? Or maybe something bad had happened? There was only one way to find out. "No problem. See you soon. :)" ":)" His short and sweet responses made her heart soar. She put on her outside shoes and unlocked the door. The girl was stopped when she heard a loud voice. "WAIT, RIKO-TAN!" The familiar whiny and deep voice called to her. "FORGET THAT GHOST BOY AND STAY WITH DADDY TODAY—URGH." Riko cut him off by throwing her slippers in his face. "You know I've been waiting for this for a long time, Papa! I'll see you later." She waved, ignoring his loud pleas for her to stay. Riko knew her father had accepted Kuroko already, although he still tried to get in the way (another reason why they hadn't met up until now) making her wonder if that was just a dream. As she walked down the streets, she continued to wonder what the change was about. But that all went away once she had only one turn left to go. "Well, here goes..." The coach took a deep breath and turned the corner. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the fairly small building just down the road. "A daycare?" The brunette walked up to the building, examining the sign covered in colorful handprints and drawings glued to the short, white fence. "Is this the right address...?" She thought aloud, her eyes bouncing from the toy cars to the tiny houses little children could fit in. In the corner of her eye, she saw two little girls staring at each other then at her. They jumped out of the bushes and ran up to Riko. As they grabbed onto her legs, they looked up at her. "You're the onee-san we've been waiting for right?!" "I'm sure of it this time!!" "W-what? I don't know—" "You're Tetsuya-onii-san's wife, right??" The girls asked in unison. "W-w-wife?!?" "Yuni, Yuki, I told you not to go up to people passing by." The two girls turned around and ran up to the phantom player. "But Tetsuya-onii-san! We got the right person this time right?! Right!?" The little girl on the left pointed back at Riko, who had a flustered expression. "She's your wife, right??!" The girl on the right asked in clear anticipation. A small smile appeared across the boy's face and he nodded. "Yes, you did get the right person. But she's not my wife, she's my girlfriend." "Then, she's going to be your wife?" Riko swore she could see Kuroko's cheeks become a tint of red, but she could barely look at him now. The girls' words and innocence were making her too embarrassed to look. "Maybe," Riko's cheeks exploded into red. "But you shouldn't worry about that now. You two are missing snack time. Today there's cookies—" The girls immediately disappeared as they screamed the name of the sweet dessert. Kuroko's smile grew and Riko laughed at their reactions. The brunette walked up next to the blue haired boy. "So?" Riko asked with a smile. She was clearly interested in what the phantom had to say. After a short silence, Kuroko began to explain. "The caretaker called me earlier today asking if I could help out because the person who was supposed to help is sick. I was about to decline, but Yuni and Yuki took over the phone and told the rest I was coming today..." A sweat drop fell down Riko's forehead. "I see..." She stifled her laughter. To think that someone who had such a low presence would be so popular with children. But she understood in a way, after all she was a bit head over heels for him. "I didn't– I'm sorry." The brunette smiled. "It's alright. Things don't always go as planned." "Riko..." "That's what makes life interesting!" She felt a light weight on her shoulder. Riko's heart began to skip a few beats as she looked to her side. He had rested his head on her shoulder. "T-Tetsuya?" "You're right. Thank you, Riko." His sigh of relief made her worry. Did he think that he would make her upset? She would never be upset with him! Unless he did something reckless or unforgivable, but she trusted him. The coach lightly stroked his hair. Kuroko lifted his head then planted a kiss on her cheek. Riko's cheeks flared red in embarrassment. "Let's go. They've been excited to meet you." His rare smile slightly grew. She was surprised she hadn't fainted by now. "I can't..wait to meet them!" She managed to say without stuttering. During their first month together, she learned that Kuroko really was quite bold, in and out of basketball. But no matter how many times he had done things like that, he never failed to fluster and surprise her. As they went inside, the loud chatter of the children entered their ears. "Wait here." Kuroko said softly. When Riko nodded, he went to the fairly large woman standing at the desk. She watched as he conversed with her. The woman turned to look at Riko then gladly nodded. The coach smiled nervously as the woman approached. "So you're the lucky girl who got that gentleman!!" She laughed aloud. Riko wondered how many times she was going to feel like running out and screaming in embarrassment as her cheeks tinted red. "Hello, nice to meet you..!" Riko slightly bowed her head. "No need to be so formal, sweetie! We're like family here." The woman gave her a warm smile, causing the brunette to calm down. "Now, Riko was it?" "Yes.." "Oh good, I was just making sure!" The woman smiled, cleared her throat and rang a bell. The children quickly settled down. They turned their attention towards the woman. "Everyone! There's a special someone who came here to play with you today! She's very close with Tetsuya-onii-san, so I know you'll get along with her! Say hi to Riko-onee-san!" The woman put out a hand towards Riko. She watched the children's eyes sparkle as they stared at her. They quickly rose from their seats and surrounded her. "You know Tetsuya-onii-san?!" "He's super cool!! Like a ninja!" "Let's play together, Riko-onee-san!" "I want to play with her though!!" A drop of sweat rolled down the teen's forehead as the children exploded requests to her. "O-one at a time...!" She managed to say, through all the chaos. However, they weren't paying attention. "Umm...who wants to hear a story?" The children began to jump up and down as they rose their hands. "I do! I do!!" "Me! Me!" Riko smiled as they went to sit at the large round carpet. "Hm...so there once was a girl who was very lonely..." The coach started and as she continued, she added many random details. Despite this, they were engrossed in the story. Once she had finished, they ran up to her again, bombarding her with questions and requests. Suddenly, they all heard a loud yet soft voice. "Who wants to play hide-and-go-seek?" All the children froze, some looking terrified while others hesitantly looked around. Once they all spotted Kuroko, they all agreed by running away and screaming that the "Big Old Miss" was it. "HUH? WHO'S BIG AND OLD?!" The caretaker stomped over to the middle room, causing many children to squeal in amusement. "ONE..." She started to count slowly as she covered her eyes. "TWO..." "Tetsuya!" Riko said in a whisper as she pointed towards the large desk piled with papers. Kuroko smiled softly and held her hand, almost pulling her there. The two squished under the desk. Luckily, they were able to fit with their size. It made them feel grateful for their height for once. Riko's smile grew as she stifled her laughter. "To think I would be telling stories and playing hide and seek again..." She sighed, unconsciously resting her head upon the boy's shoulder. "Yes." The shadow player chuckled softly. The two sat in silence until they heard the woman shout. "READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!!" She laughed evilly. Riko stifled her laughter. "She's good at this." "She's been here for a long time." "That's good." They silently stayed in that position for awhile, until Kuroko broke the silence. "I'm sorry." Riko's caramel orbs focused on Kuroko's light blue ones. "I know you planned so much. And you were excited. Then we ended up not doing anything that you wanted." From his tone of voice, she could feel his guilt. Of course, she was looking forward to it all, but she wasn't sad, not at all. The coach shook her head. "Don't feel sorry. Believe me when I say this, I'm having the time of my life." Riko chuckled. "I know it didn't go as planned, but there's always next time. And if that doesn't go as planned. Then there's the time after that!" Kuroko's growing smile warmed her heart. He slightly tightened his grip on her hand, reminding her that they were still holding each other's hands. "Thank you." The boy planted a kiss on her cheek again, this time closer to her neck. Riko felt her cheeks exploding into red, but she didn't want to hide now. If he was going to be bold, then so was she. Quickly, she placed her lips on his and lingered. When the brunette removed her lips, she did her best to keep her eyes on him. With just that, she got the reaction she wanted. Kuroko's face had become engulfed in red. Well, Riko's face did too, yet it was worth it in her eyes. Such a sweet moment, but they have to end sometime. The two entered back into reality when a little girl's voice shouted. "LOOK! I FOUND THEM!! AND THEY'RE BEING ALL LOVEY DOVEY!!" She laughed as she pointed under the desk. Now, the teens' faces were as red as cherries. How could they have forgotten? They were in a daycare, playing hide-and-seek. That's when they realized, they were never going to forget their "first date."
Hope you enjoy ^.^
There was a swarm of girls, sparkly eyed and reddening, waiting outside of the Seirin High school gym. What’s a swarm of girls doing here? The last time there were many girls here, was because there was a certain someone present in the gym. That certain someone is-
“Kise! Can we have your autograph!”
“Kise, can we take a picture with you?”
When Seirin’s basketball coach walked into the gym, seeing the giant mass of girls irritated her. She searched amongst the crowd and spotted the tall, blond male model. Her temple began to throb from all the girls who were just waiting to receive an autograph or take pictures. The coach, Riko, looked at the crowd. It surprised her that this many girls actually found this first year attractive, not to mention many more outside of this gym.
“Coach, how are we going to start practice like this?” One of the players asked. Riko responded with an angry gesture.
The blue haired shadow, Kuroko, watched the crowd as well as it slowly got smaller and smaller. It reached the point where there was only several girls left.
“It’s quiet enough to start practice now, everyone, begin your warmups.”
She blew her whistle and her team began to jog up and down the courts, followed by stretches and some practice shots. As Riko watched her team practice, she heard a loud voice call her name. Suddenly she was being embraced.
“Rikocchi!” Said the childish blond.
“K-Kise! What are you doing? Let go of me!” The coach struggled and managed to make the blond let go.
“Sorey, sorry, it’s just that it feels good to see you again.” He smiled. “We should go to another fair sometime.”
Riko looked away. She almost perfectly remembers the day she went to one of the town fairs for a relaxing day, but ended up bumping into Kise and spent the rest of the day with him. Not like she ha a choice.
“Thank you for that, but the question is, why are you here!” Riko exclaimed, pointing a sharp finger at his nose.
“Because I wanted to see Rikocchi again!”
“I told you not to call me Rikocchi!”
The team stopped their warmups to watch the their coach and the blond. Everyone seemed rather confused, not knowing since when or why these two are affiliated with each other.
“Just leave now okay? I have a practice to coach.” She said, crossing her arms and looking away from him.
“Okay, but I’ll see you again!” Kise happily said back as he left the gym. Riko sighed.
“Coach, why are you and Kise suddenly so-”
“GET BACK TO RUNNING!” the coach interrupted her captain. No one hesitated it attempted to hesitate. They went back to finish their warm ups.
Riko stood on the side with her veins popping. She felt anger spread through your body in her veins. Her temple throbbed painfully, and she put a hand to it to massage it. When the fair ended that night, she remembered she went home with a massive headache, most likely because of the annoying blond. Her head began to pound. Annoying people really had their effect on her. But Riko managed to stay on top throughout the practice, pushing her team forward in exercises and routines. It was after the practice that Riko had to suffer another headache.
When everyone left and the gym was clean, Riko locked the gym and began to walk home. It was late enough for the street lights had just turned on. Riko finally sighed and looked forward to a quiet evening, but what happened was the opposite.
“Rikocchi! You should walk home alone, it’s dangerous.” Said the blond, walking a bit too close to her.
“I’m fine, I do this everyday.”
“You could use a bodyguard. I know, I can be your bodyguard.”
“No, I can manage myself.”
The blond walked alongisde her quietly , but smiling. Something about her stubborn personality made Kise want to be even more next to her.
“Rikocchi, do you want to hang out with me this weekend?”
“You’ll be dreaming if I said yes!” Riko snapped at him, expecting for him to finally back away, but the results were the opposite.
“Then how about next week? A day when I’m not busy with modeling or practice.”
“I haven’t even said yes! Why are-”
“I have an idea! Rikocchi let’s go right now!” Before the girl could respond, Kise grabbed her arm and pulled her forward, running down the street and making rights and lefts at random. They have finally reached a small nature scenery where, other than the squirrels and birds, no one was visible. Kise brought Riko along to sit next to her on the bench.
“Kise why are we here?” The angry girl asked.
“I want to get to know you better! So tell me, do you like casual clothing better, or perhaps a backstreet boy look, or maybe-”
“Not interested.” She said bluntly.
“Then we’ll start small! What’s your favorite color? Or wait, favorite food! That one is harder to choose because there’s such a variety of foods to choose from and-” Kise stopped talking when he realized Riko wasn’t paying attention. Kise leaned in really close , being inches away from her face.
“Rikocchi.”
“K-Kise!” The girl jumped, feeling her heart jump out of her chest. He was so close that she could smell his cologne, his minty breath, and she could see her own reflection in his gold eyes. Her heart sped up and she was sure that his did too.
“Why do you look so nervous Rikocchi?” He said with a sly smile on his face.
“Why are you so close to me?” The brunette avoided his question. This caused Kise to lean in just a bit closer.
“Are you feeling more nervous now?” He said, the gold glinting in his eyes. Riko bit her lip and tried to back away, but there was no more space on the bench. What is Kise doing? Why was he doing this? Riko opened her mouth to say something but suddenly, a loud voice was heard in the distance.
“Kise! Kise! Girls look it’s Kise and he’s kissing another girl!” A small swarm of girls began to appear from the streets and Riko swallowed hard.
“He wasn’t kissing me, he was-” Riko was interrupted by Kise grabbing her hand and running forward.
“Why are we running?” Riko called out to him.
“To get away from the girls!” He responded, looking at her with that model-like smile of his.
Riko smiled back. She didn’t know why. She just knew that running got her mind going and focused, and she was focused on getting away from Kise’s fangirls, alltogether with Kise holding her hand.
Pairing: Kuroko/Riko Theme: “notice me senpai”
Naturally, when harboring a crush, the instinct was to gain the attention of the one that the feelings were directed towards. Under normal circumstances this was hard enough; Kuroko had watched Kise acting stupid, Momoi try to be cuter, Midorima…
Well, Midorima wasn’t a problem; a tall green haired man was difficult to miss.
But for Kuroko, it was even harder than usual with his weak presence.
Riko’s attention was also extremely focused on the task at hand; during class he had no chance, as the girl was in a different class and he had no time to be dozing off, needing to pay as much attention as he could to maintain his rather average grades.
And on the court she was constantly yelling at Kagami and throwing things at him, hardly even able to be calmed by Hyuuga. Kuroko used to be glad to be under her radar, but when he was trying to get her attention but couldn’t, it just left him beyond frustrated.
Panting, he heard her call out ‘practice is over!’, a call that reverberated through the gym and the squeaking of shoes stopped. Raising a hand and using the wristband to wipe sweat from his forehead, Kuroko nodded to Kagami, saying he’d be after him soon and white shoes carried him to Riko, who was still going over their training plan.
“Coach.”
“K-Kuroko!”
Flinching, brown hair reflected her surprise. She pushed her bangs back and looked at him, smiling. “What is it, Kuroko–?”
Brown eyes opened at the moment blue eyes closed, feeling a hand pulling her uniform, forcing her to bend down a bit. Kuroko’s lips were surprisingly rough and chapped against hers and he was warm, heat radiating from his body.
He lingered for only a few seconds, not too short and not too long (unlike some other much sloppier kisses she’d had to endure,) and she was staring at him when he pulled back, blush taking several moments to set in.
“K-Kuro–?”
Instead of letting her finish, he nodded his head as his goodbye.
“See you tomorrow, Coach.”
