The reception to Mokarran was really awesome. I’m glad you all seem to like him so much! I decided to do another picture with my friend’s OC, Linna. That friend was one of the major forces that lead to me finally drawing this dorky Garchomp, so this picture serves as a thank you for all of his encouragement and motivation along the way. ^^ Also, I really just wanted to draw her. Violet and Mokarran
Jeez, it’s been too long since I’ve uploaded something here. I was originally going to delay posting this, but I’ve been encouraged to post it now. ^^ This is my OC, Violet, with a new OC of mine: Mokarran! Mellow’s design process. Part 2
Step 3: character design
While thinking on her personality, I developed a vague idea of how I wanted her to look but there were still some things to define.
First it was the horns, how I wanted them to look and what could they do. In the end I decided to go with the “Wings” kinda ones, so they could move according her expresions.
Then it was the outfit, I did a lot of diferent ones, in the end this were the finalists.

Mellow’s design process. Part 1
Step one: The idea
Mellow was thought as a character who could travel to any world, interact with any character and basically to be able to appear with different drawing styles (I think that would make a great practice to improve my skills)
After thinking a lot on it, Mellow was decided to be a shape-shifting demon that could change and adapt to any situation, adjusting her body type to whatever she thinks will fit better.
Step two: Mellow
Before sketching any character, it's recommended to know the character, its personality, what she likes how she behaves, so when we sketch we know what we want it to express
Mellow is a curious and naughty demon who is always searching for new adventures, she's jolly but can get angry by really dumb things. Modesty = 0

Some colouring practice I did earlier. Original linework was done by @askthekleptogarde.
I tweaked the lineart slightly, but it’s mostly the same, added some details and coloured it in CSP. The design was a combination of Gardevoir from Pokemon and 2B from NieR: Automata. I kinda wanted to go a little further with the colouring initially, but gave up on it half-way.
