Mackenzie Crook Viral on One Piece Twitter

A few days ago, I saw a post that has Mackenzie Crook on my feed and for a second I thought he died lol. When I actually read the post, the user was from Japan and they were amazed how handsome Mackenzie was, noticing the stark difference from his Pirates of the Caribbean role as Ragetti and the real life actor himself. At the time I saw it, it had 36K likes. Now it has whopping 147K likes. People are so mind blown with the aesthetic difference lololol. I’ve never seen this much social engagement on Mackenzie Crook EVER!!

And then I saw this post:

And then a whole bunch of One Piece fans flooded in and started comparing him to Sanji. They all think he should’ve been Sanji Live Action lol. There’s a lot of conversations about it.

Sanji fans are taking this by the storm. They made photo edits to make Mackenzie more Sanji-like.

I never would have thought One Piece fandom would converge with Mackenzie Crook of all things!! This is insane!!

This is just too crazy and fantastic for me. I was a big fan of Mackenzie Crook a long time ago and I remember he never got a huge online reaction like this. Yes, Pirates of the Caribbean & The Office gave him some boost with fans, but he was never popular. Little girl me would’ve been so happy seeing the attention he’s getting now. Where was this all my life?!?!? This is absolutely incredible!!!!!

Not a lot of people know this but I actually sprained my right wrist almost about a month ago, which made me incapacitated on my right hand. Unfortunately, that’s also my drawing hand and that’s what I rely on on my day job. Luckily enough, I did practiced with my left hand on two pictures during my free time several months ago, so I was able to use that as a backup. I just want to say that I am NOT AMBIDEXTROUS. Sure the art look “almost” similar to my right hand’s work, but using my left was both physically and mentally draining for me…I’m also slower with it too. So yeah, basically I used my left hand at the job for about 2 weeks. After that, I was able to use my right (thank goodness!). I’m still recovering, but at least I can use my right “almost” normal now!

By the way, the sprained wrist was due to lifting an extremely heavy object and not being properly prepared to lift said object–it had nothing to do with me drawing a whole bunch of people everyday lol

Random traditional animation I made at work during my free time :D  I just used tracing paper with a pencil, took camera shots of each frame, uploaded onto PC, and used Windows Movie Maker to composite the whole thing and added music.

If you’re curious, I’m just an outdoor Caricature/Portrait artist at the Disney Parks.  And no, I’m not an animation student nor did I take any Traditional Animation classes.

This happened the other day but I was too busy to post it up. Anyway, personally awesome story, I contacted Uyori on Twitter and received an amiable response the next morning. This actually really means A LOT to me! Uyori is an AMAZING artist and totally ships AOSHI and BESHIMI! The pairing, as Uyori calls it, is “AoBeshi.” Like, I shipped these two guys 14 years ago and felt I was the only person alive to do that (so very lonely…). @thebeshimifangirl revived my love for Beshimi, and that in turn had me stumble across Uyori’s work on Twitter a few months ago. This particular fanart of Aoshi and Beshimi just BLEW MY MIND because it was SO HOT! Lololol! Like, WHERE WAS THIS ALL MY LIFE?!??! You guys, I did a cosplay of Beshimi from RUROUNI KENSHIN…and made a video on how I did it!!! 😱😱😱. Lol this is outrageous, but I love this guy so much and I just have to do this!
