I like to think Mildmay's been pardoned by the end of The Mirador, and it's not just because "Mildmay deserves acknowledgement".

The Mirador owed him as much for unearthing a whole ass years-long conspiracy and even Curia rep Giancarlo literally goes “You have done the Mirador a tremendous favor, Mr. Foxe. We will not forget."

I also like to think it might have saved Felix, because bringing up what might happen to Mildmay stalled the trial enough for the exile to come up. Otherwise, there could've been a thing of "who cares, he was a murderer".
