When thinking of what to make for this special day I decided on an animaticā¦. and a full original song. :D The past year has been challenging for me as Iāve been working through AuDHD burnout, which took away my ability to create art. (not fun.) Itās been tough, but over the past few months, Iāve slowly started to regain that ability as Iām learning to take the time to rest and heal. As I began to create again, I knew exactly what project I wanted to work onā¦ an animatic and song about Alone Together for you Bright. @brightonstudios :)

The little Botatos of Alone Together have brought me such joy.
Bright, your comics, art and story always bring a smile to my face and our interactions on here are moments I treasure fondly. So thank you for all the joy youāve brought me and I hope you can enjoy this little animatic and song. Perhaps in moments when you want to think about happy memories of you sharing your story with us all. Iām very excited to see the storyās ending and getting one more dose of your Precious Baby Botatos. Because even though the story is ending, my love for them and Alone Together is not.

Like Iām speechless Iāve already listened to it like 15 times and itās not stopping soon. I cannot thank you enough, I wish I could talk about it in detail but I donāt know much about how music is composed/created, HOWEVER I know that it mustāve taken forever and doing that through AuDHD burnout is absolutely incredible and I feel so honored. Making fully produced songs like this is something Iāve been wanting to do for a long time, but this is one of the first times Iāve fully finished one and Iām pleased with how it came together.š
This also seems like a perfect opportunity to mention a little behind the scenes knowledge I wanted to talk about. Because I knew when I started to make this song I wanted one thingā¦.
āØāØ Symbolism āØāØ
As in the form of notes in the song. š
I think it can be fun to add meaning in a song that isnāt just in its lyrics. Soā¦
Most of the broken harp chords throughout the song are made of six notes, each to represent the five brothers and Kora. Some chords even do so in a visual pattern too.
One of the first things I added was in the chorus itself. The word āaloneā is sung through five notes to symbolize the five brothers and the notes go down to represent the sadness of them being alone.
There are also six notes at the beginning of the song and six that end the song as well. Just a fun nod to the story I wanted to include that I think turned out really nice.
I had a lot of fun making this song and the animatic as well. Finally happy to have made more fan projects for Alone Together! āŗļøš

Alone Together is one years old today!!!
Man I canāt believe I would go through so much growth in this comic. Iāve made so many amazing moots, created a ton of art, lost my apple pencil so many times, and still find my love for these goobers every time I draw them. Even though I had planned to be so much further in the comic at this point, Iām so happy with what Iāve accomplished. Iām so grateful for all the wonderful support Iāve gotten from everyone, seriously I canāt thank you guys enough! Your encouragementment and love for the story keeps me going and motivated! I love you guys!
