Some nights she goes to sleep with excitement as explosive as the galaxies. Other nights she lays in bed hoping to fall asleep before she falls apart.

She is strong, but not in the ways most people think. She loves more than sheāll ever get back and she knows it. And yet, she loves anyway.

Write about the lessons youāve learned this year: 1. There are hard days. Sometimes you hate to get up in the morning, or cry yourself to sleep at night. But those days will pass. 2. Sometimes, you just have to accept youāre not feeling well. Cancel your plans, make some food and stay in bed. Sometimes, thatās exactly what you need. 3. However, donāt let your feelings take over. Itās okay to do nothing for a day, or two. But donāt make it a week. 4. I know I did let my feelings take over way too much. I stayed in bed, did nothing all day. Until the point that I had to get out. 5. Getting out of bed can feel good. Make your bed, eat some breakfast. Just do something. And be proud of yourself for what youāve accomplished - even if itās just eating breakfast. 6. Donāt be angry at yourself, that never works out. 7. Just take care. Of yourself, your mind, your body, everything. And accept the fact that sometimes things just donāt work out the way you want to. 8. Donāt shut people out. They are there to help. 9. You are the one that has to pick up the pieces after a breakdown. But youāre not alone, even if it feels like you are. 10. Sometimes I think Iāve control over my feelings, but I donāt. They come and go. I just have to accept that. Sometimes the feelings are just too much, and I have to take a step back. Start again. Thereās always a second chance.

Moving on isnāt about when you donāt remember anymore, itās being okay even when you do.

Pleaseā¦ā he said. āI truly hope that you would never turn out like the person who broke you.

I get way too sensitive when I get attached to someone. I can detect the slightest change in the tone of their voice, and suddenly Iām spending all day trying to figure out what I did wrong.
Brandon Stanton, Humans of New York (via wordsnquotes)
I just want to be with you especially on the days where I donāt understand anything, even myself.

Itās nice wanting to make others happy, however at the end of the day you are the one living your life; make sure what you do brings happiness to yourself too.
We are meant to meet, But not meant for each other. What a sad story.

Itās okay to walk away. Youāre allowed to leave this place. Youāre allowed to leave toxic people. Youāre allowed to say no without explaining why. Youāre allowed to quit something that you donāt really love. You can move freely. Youāre allowed to start over with something else. Youāre allowed to fail and try and try again.

You are so damaged. He gave you flowers and you refused to touch them because you believed they would wilt and die. He tried to hold your hand and you pulled away in fear that the spaces between your fingers wonāt fit perfectly in his. He touched your shoulders and you flinched because you thought that the electricity of his fingertips will reopen the scars on your body. He looked into your eyes and you looked away because you were determined that the illumination of his eyes would fade due to the darkness in yours. He gave you the world and you pushed him away because you knew that it would slip away from your trembling hands and become as broken as you are. You are so damaged that when someone gives you what you deserve, you donāt know how to react.

I like how sleeping next to someone means more than sex sometimes, the bodyās way of saying āI trust you to be by my side at my most vulnerable time,ā you have no defenses when you are asleep, you tell no lies.
Eric Shaw (via wordsnquotes)
The truth is that Iām afraid to dive into someone new. How can I not be? Iām still emptying my lungs from the last time I fell into someoneās waters and explored the depths of them. Itāll be years before Iām done wringing the wetness out of my hair, before I stop smelling the salt of their oceans on my skin. Learning someone new is frightening now. Itās not the adventure it was before. Iām no longer bitter for my heartbreak. My reluctance isnāt a decision I made with a sour mouth. Iām just exhausted by the idea of feeling for someone new. Of treading water with small talk and stories about our childhoods. When I think of him, I am afraid of sinking so deeply into someone again that I am lost to them. In that, I realize I am most afraid that I wonāt sink at all. That Iāll always be treading water with anyone that isnāt him. That anyone after him will only know how to meet me at the surface.
