My reward for being so brave and productive (choosing everybody's names) was getting to design and draw the entire immediate Hollow Ground family tree <3

Some explanations + trivia facts under the cut 🕊️

I decided to put the siblings' dates of birth to mark the age gaps instead of choosing a specific point in time for everyone and drawing them as they would've looked at that age because the big age gap between Emilia (... and Mica I guess) and the rest of the siblings + the unknown status of the oldest brother would've made that too difficult...

Emilia's drawn as she would've looked at the age of her abduction/death; Jorge, Paulo and Gabby are drawn as the ages they were when they took the boost drug together.

All of the children's names were chosen by Fabiola (Antonio gave input but he always let her have the final say).

Following hispanic tradition the children's surnames are Quintana Zambrano, in that order and with no hyphenation.

As the youngest Emilia was the target of many a nickname with options such as: Milia (the least disliked by her), Mili (the one she hated most) and Mila (with the similarity to Mica's name giving Hollow Ground even more of a headache).

Gabriel's nicknames (Gabby + Lucy) are solely the work of Nocturne, trying to validate and acknowledge their nonbinary gender a bit more. Gabby would've never thought of it, as they've made their peace with their very gendered birth name, but they appreciate it a lot.

While Jorge was a hands on leader, often getting into scuffles personally to defend/expand the organization, and Gabby acted as his assistant and personal diplomat, Paulo often took on the financial duties and bookkeeping that his siblings would skimp on.

From tallest to shortest: Gabby (6'2") > Paulo > Antonio = Jorge > Mica (5'8") (= Emilia if she were still alive) > Fabiola > Emilia.

Gabby was their dad's favorite but Paulo was Fabiola's <3

If Emilia was still alive, she and Mica would be able to pass for identical twins with the only difference (besides obvious style choices/scars/tattoos) being Mica's dimples which Emilia never had (a trait only shared with Paulo and passed down from Antonio).

So bad. Ludicrously bad. Someone of her size and stature going down from like one beer is surprising. Vex would be a giggly drunk. I think past flirting she had with Ortega pre-fall would've mostly been spurred by liquid courage on Vex's part.

Ludicrously annoyingly good. Vex keeps making terrible decisions and those consequences will catch up to her eventually, but so many of her idiotic decisions end up working out for her. Vex got Pure of Snow ending for Retri, and she's the only Sidestep I have on amicable terms with every Ranger. Fate is stroking her ego in a way that is going to bite her in the ass later on. Additionally I didn't learn about threading until Cupid's run, so Vex miraculously just dodged all the threading prompts.
