Sex is for getting off or getting ahead, boyfriends and recurring inputs are for the sentimental, family only lets you down, and a friend is a mutually beneficial relationship. His outlook started to change when he met Jackie, but now Jackie’s gone, and V is stuck with a talking brain tumour and only weeks to live, at most. Faced with his own mortality, he’ll do anything to survive, but things start to change when he meets the Aldecaldos.

He’s never been in love, and he’s not about to start now. But then again, he may not have much choice in the matter.

"Vek[c]tor" not being Viktor's real last name but a stage name for boxing has been thrown about before and it makes sence. But what is his real last name?

It's a rerun, one he had watched many times before. Well you would if it was a good match. But Viktor is analyzing it, picking apart every move of one fighter in particular, "Walsh".

Why should he care so much about this "Walsh"? Why get so mad? Why does he need to see where he messed up this fight?

The only reason I can see for his interest in this rerun is if "Walsh" is him, if "Walsh" is his real last name and this was one of his fights.

He can see where he lost, he can't even call it a mistake, but he still needs to know! He need to know how he lost his final match!

He is watching this fight at the very end of the game, with everything that is happening to V, their own fight against the chip and the fact that they are at the end of the road, Viktor looking back at his own "failures" seems very him.

(I know the fighters on screen don't look like him, but it's just reused footage from every time he's watching a fight)

V laughs. ‘What were you expecting? I ain’t one of your groupies.’ He smiles. ‘And I think you like that.’

‘I do, actually,’ Johnny admits.

Johnny’s been on the road with Santiago’s Aldecaldos for years. Upon their return to California, Johnny meets V, yet another nomad, who seems to have a strange ability to put him at ease. When Johnny decides to return to Night City, V comes with him. Johnny wants to bring Samurai back together, and to do that there’s one person he needs more than anybody else: Kerry Eurodyne. Kerry, who hasn’t seen Johnny in six years and is really pissed.
