This is timely, because I literally just was working on a friend’s resume who does commissions on tumblr, and I wrote it like this:

Freelance Artist • Created custom artwork for a variety of domestic and international clients. • Communicated effectively with customers in order to facilitate and execute their visions according to their individual needs. • Invoiced and processed payments via PayPal processing service. • Met deadlines, sustained a high level of customer satisfaction, and cultivated a database of clients. • Used social media to find and connect with customers.

Never underestimate the work that you’re doing!

I still couldn't care less about this awards, but some comments like "see Yuzu won, everything is good now" rub me the wrong way, so here is my rant on the skating awards:

First of all Yuzu got the bare minimum what he deserved. And while I am happy that we got to see Yuzu (we are waiting for crumbs at this point) and I am relieved that he won (to spare him the next negation of his achievements), it doesn't change the fact that this award has been a sh*tshow from the start.

From lurking ppl into a trap to buy tickets and then changing the gala into an awards show, from not making the votes or selection in the awards transparent, over "mistakenly" nominating an insensitive costumes, over releasing new infos about the award while ppl where being concerned if an event can even happen (I don't forget how they even announced a gathering and didn't mention any way how they would deal with the pandemic and I am also sure that ISU wouldn't have canceled Worlds if the government wouldn't have put a stop to it), to ISU preaching "we love all disciplines" but not even having any pair in the final nominees, to the disrespect Yuzu had to face by playing his achievements down in his bio and only changing the bio because of complaints but still ISU didn't even admit their mistake. (to just list a few issues)

And I don't forget how Yuzu was once again treated as a money factor, even the producer Ari wasn't even shying away from naming it this way. Yuzu is a magnet for fans and money and he is used as such.

Yuzu's win doesn't change the fact, that there were a lot of issues with this award (I don't even want to rant on Eteri getting "best coach" award and the message it does send to coaches that winning is more important than methods.)

And it's not like "here Yuzu won, now be happy" will work, because I am not happy. I fear we will have to see this sh*tshow every year now and I don't like it any better now just because Yuzu got an award that description wise would have been a joke to give anyone else.

And while I deem this award meaningless I want to congratulate Yuzu, Alena, P/C and C/B, because all issues are solely based on the ISU and the show organizers and not on the skaters.

(Rant over. The only thing that makes me really happy is that the awards are over for now)
