Hi, i don't know why EM is a toxic relationships i mean im EM shipper anyways but i really respect your ship, i totally ship rivamika but as a friends but i don't know why EM is a toxic relationships bcs as i know that toxic relationships is being abused by him/her, many people also know this. I dont see Eren and mikasa as a toxic relationships bcs they are not abusive to each other, he only hurts her but that's not abusive/toxic. The only toxic relationships here is Ymir and king Fritz. I know he hurts her but still love each other for me. So what's your opinion about their relationships? Is it toxic or not?

The reasons why I think EM is toxic are the following:

It promotes the idea that a woman should dedicate her life to a man ( which is sadly pretty common in anime).

Eren has hurt Mikasa various times since they were young, you said it yourself, and after all, Mikasa has never decided to stand up for herself and say “no”, she continued to follow him like a dog follows their owner. No actually; if you hurt a dog, the dog will probably start to treat you differently (and by that I mean that it will start to ignore you and try to avoid any kind of interactions with you) Mikasa didn't, pretty shameful for the "Girl worth 100 soldiers".

Again, It promotes the idea that a woman should dedicate her life to a man that has hurt her several times.

Eren didn't want her to be happy with another man, and she didn't! Even after getting married and having a family, in the end we see her next to Eren's grave. Her whole life was about a man, about Eren, do you realize how wrong this is?

Is it really so hard to understand that when someone loves you, they want the best for you and would never hurt you? The "I love you" it's not an excuse. I hope these innocent people are safe right now and that they had the courage to ask for help. It's so weird to me how the fandom has accepted their relationship as normal when in the modern world if a women's feelings are hurt by a guy, she's told to move on and leave him and she probably goes through a glow up ( aka character development in fiction ig ) and becomes a better person. Somehow I still don't believe Mikasa loved Eren THAT much to give him a pass for all his flaws. I know aot was based in a old society where most of our real world laws does not apply to then anyway. But normalising the kind of obsession Mikasa had with Eren and naming it "love" is most toxic thing that can come out of the series. ( It also speaks volumes on internalised misogyny, but I'm not gonna get into that now ) I've said this before and although anon is right, it's not physical abuse so they may wondering "why is it toxic or abusive if it's not physically hurting her?" Because abuse goes far more than just what you can see, anon. Abuse has many forms and in their case it is neglection and hurtful words. Their whole relationship was Mikasa giving and Eren receiving, it was unbalanced. We re not here to convince you to stop shipping em or tell others to do the same, we're just saying how this relationship shouldn't be idealised and used as an example of "true love". Just beware of your ship's flaws and know that they are just drawings in the end.

While the show has its pacing issues and a tad gory for my tastes, i could NOT ignore the relationship between Alucard and his master, Integra. To say they are bonded by the very fibers of their being, their very souls, is to say the least. They have a deep respect for each other despite being mortal enemies- her ancestor enslaved him to her bloodline so he has every right to hate her but essentially worships her. Au where war era nurse Mikasa attempts to hide a young girl from the enemy side because she's hurt and has no family. She helps the girl by hiding her in her house attic ( but it's a rally tiny space ) and she lives there for a long time until Mikasa has to evacuate due to the enemy bombing the area and stuff but she disguises the girl to look like her so they think it's her sister. She knows she can't do that for too long though and where they were situated as refugees, Levi's squad was training there. Somehow Levi finds out about the girl and that she's not from their side however instead of exposing her and possibly getting both the girl and Mikasa captured, he decides to help Mikasa hide the girl until it's safe enough for to roam around in public or reach her side of the land.

I've been having weird ass dreams recently, I saw that I was in a very toxic and abusive environment with people who treated poor people like servants really bad and somehow I found this little girl hiding under the ceiling on toilet roof thingy, and I told her I'd help her because apperently she had death sentence on her and everyone was looking for her everywhere. So I was helping her and lying to my family about her whereabouts then I was getting her some biscuits but the biscuits literally crumbled up to nothingness (??) That's when my dream ended 👽

Hmmm, I haven't really thought about being a writer or an author that much especially that that kind of job isn't that much supported in Asia. It's more like a dream, something close to a privilege that you could actually be known if you only have connections and if you are rich (that's just my opinion). But I'll answer your question that yes; I'd love to write and venture more about my creativity if only I have given the chance. That it's actually a good-crazy kind of idea to see your works being admired and supported, because it's like getting to know people understand your written insights. (:

And there are actually some people who suggested me to convert After The War into an original work... which could totally be more convenient for me if I'd like to pursue being a writer.

To be honest, it's kind of a win-lose situation for me. I'm so in love with RivaMika XD that I just can't have them replaced but at the same time I have slightly thought about that too... since After The War can be an independent work coz I started it 'in media res' whereas it could possibly have a prequel and a sequel.

So much thoughts, ahah, but thank you for having the interest to ask me! It's nice answering this question, it actually have me thinking about my life plans. So yeah, hope it did answer! (:

Idts, therefore rivamika was and forever will be with the healthiest relationship & ofc mutual respect for one another. That's my biggest flex as an rm shipper, it's completely platonic and yet has so much more depth than all the other two people dynamic in the story.

In the end what didn't they have? From one sided hate to strongest duo to battle mates to the closest people they had left for one another to being ready to die for each other. They even have a kid together y'all 😧 The rest is After the War ( ˘ ³˘)♥
