I remember jumping on to Tumblr the moment I went abroad to Nepal one summer. I wanted a way to document my adventures of being away from home and this platform served as a fulfilling outlet. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate the seemingly intimate community of Tumblr and the top-notch content generated from fellow users, news outlets, and creative brands. The topics are overwhelmingly enjoyable but too much of this good thing makes it difficult to focus on honing in on a niche. Consuming the internet rather than creating something for it is something I’m trying to stop doing so much and be more intentional about. Because the obsessive marketer in me can’t devote quality time and effort into this social network, especially with the other ones I’m trying to get more out of (Instagram mostly and Twitter), I think it’s best I lay this friend to rest. I’m sure I’ll sneak back in every now and then to see what’s cooking on this corner of the internet though.
My blogging efforts will now be directed to lifeglamorized.com, a personal journey and personal style blog. This is a passion project I’ve wanted to follow through on for a few years. I hope to pour my unique story into it consistently.
Also, being the public health and communications self that I am, my views on this field are highlighted on rizalynvargas.com.
It’s amazing how we have the power to curate our own lives online, so thank you Tumblr and see you soon, I hope!
