RJHF — Mission Statement

To inspire young Americans to learn about other countries and cultures through travel. The foundation works to facilitate travel abroad to selected applicants who have demonstrated interest in Berlin, Germany and through competitive essays.

RJHF — Goal

To provide sufficient funding for travel to and from Berlin, Germany, (and also a modest amount of spending money), so that the young traveler be able to enjoy a stay in Berlin for four-to-eight weeks (or other appropriate period of time). This, to encourage wanderlust and independent exploration. Potential participants are to be recruited through a process of selection that includes competitive essays.
