the age of the gentleman? what other acts of chivalry did luke have to show to prove that he was a good guy? it wasnât as if he was forcing this offer down her throat, it was up to her to have a good night. regardless of whatever she decided, luke was going to enjoy himself to the fullest. âwow, you kind of sound like my mom right now. you should loosen up a bit and play along a little better,â he shot a glance at her direction, a tiny smirk playing at his lips. âi guess you donât like joking around, hm? itâs all work in your world, but for me iâm almost never serious. lifeâs too short to not take a risk,â luke added. âyou can deny my offer to drink, but you canât deny the fact that iâm handsome.â ignoring her next few statements, luke focused on perfecting his own drink before taking a long sip from it. who didnât like drinking? wasnât korean circled around drinking? since coming, it was one of the few things the male had learned after witnessing hierarchies after hierarchies of sunbaes getting their hoobaes drunk and countless rounds that came to a typical night out. but to each their own, right? âyou barely know me and yet you wanted to sing with me. how did you know that i could sing anyways, hm? i think i should feel more threatened by you as someone whoâs only heard secondhand stories from someone else.â even though luke did think she was pretty damn attractive, he already found himself growing a bit bored. was she always this serious? âitâs not bad though, and the taste afterwards isnât that bad,â he muttered, leaning back into his seat a bit. âadd more juice to it, if you want. make it however you want, i donât care anymore. tonight, iâm getting drunk with or without you.â
âDonât you know that Iâm generally known as nationâs big sister?â Perhaps that was a tad over exaggerated but in the end, Jieun knew itâd come down to just that. She was sexy, she was cute, she held charms but in the end, she was always among the oldest, the voice of reason and the person to question everybodyâs decisions. âDonât take it to heart. Itâs what I always do. Besides- just because I question the involving of alcohol doesnât mean I donât know how to have fun. Ah~ why do you take me so seriously?â
Delivering a relatively hard nudge to his shoulder, the elder female could only laugh. Then she did something sheâd have never dreamed of doing her whole life. She intentionally flirted. âI thought guys liked nunas and how responsible and reliable they are.â Gnawing at her straw with a sultry grin for good measure, maybe it was the way he had so daringly misinterpreted her that made her feel daring in return. âI simply trust onto the opinion of the club owner. Heâs kept me here ever since before I became a trainee so Iâm very grateful to him. We did do a good job with the song after all, didnât we?â Leaning back in her seat, she took another sip of the drink, geting used to the slightly bitter after taste. âI said I taste the alcohol a bit, not that I didnât like it. Well done, youngster. If your musical career fails, you can become a bartender.â
did he honestly care about wha rather people thought about her in this moment? so what if she was seen as the nation's big sister? it was easy for a sinner to pretend to be a saint so why should he believe any fake little facade she tried to put on simply to please people? she had her charms of course, but at this moment luke couldn't help but to feel as if she was acting a bit like a try hard. "i'm not going to take anything to heart but, you should just act more comfortable around me. it's hard for me to act and say the things I want when i'm apparently talking to and entertaining the nation's big sister." was he being too sarcastic? who knows, but whatever his banter was it needed to drop. there was no reason for formalities. "I don't. who even said I was like typical guys either?" he pointed out with a smirk, observing her carefully. "are you saying that you're going to take care of me tonight? because I'd actually really appreciate some nice loving noona wrapping her arms around me tight." they did do a good job on their perform, but Luke wasn't interested in entertaining that conversation right now. taking a long sip from his drink, he leaned back into his chair before carefully glancing over at her, observing her. "why do you try so hard to be a good girl, miss jieun? do you have a really important image to keep, even around me? just drop it and let's just... have fun. that's what i live for. screw music for right now, i just wanna drink."
