a little more
the candy cracks under the pressure of stone white and molars; apparently since it was obscenely unsanitary, smoking inside the hospital was prohibited so serri was forced to abandon her pastel sticks for a cherry pop that tasted a little too much like the worst type of cough medicine ever. red stains her lips, the unnatural dye from the candy does so in the most flattering way -- a bulb the size of a dime pushes her cheek out and the crunch nearly has heads turning to her. a girl of the age of nineteen, a lollipop between her lips and blonde hair to match -- a must-see in the medical field.
her jaw is clutched, sandwiched between the surgical mask thatâs pulled down to her chin -- safety precautions the attendant in the lobby had told her -- and the rolling of dark eyes that dance around the halls on the look out for the doctor to be. tented in a white tank that shows a little too much, and small hands that are shoved into the tight little pockets of her jeans, terribly clean and synthetically purified air brushes her revealed shoulders. she looks like the textbook definition of âlostâ and itâs clear to others that she could only be a girl with the all too-able-to-tell âdaddy issuesâ when sheâs not; but who really judged by who a person was -- it was a hospital, all that mattered was what she seemed to appear as: a girl with one too many issues.Â

charisma starter* it's one percent
*itâs one percent: itâs days when the refrigerator stares back emptily at her does jinhee realize she doesnât live life as luxuriously as she entails herself to. sheâs poor, barely making it through the day with a job that exceeds normal standards. sheâs rich, when itâs applicable, but dirt-poor every other second of the year. ( especially when it matters the most, like now )
she stands in line at the supermarket, looking through barrels, boxes and shelves of food she never thinks to eat but somehow when a week is done and she opens the fridge again, realizes sheâs scarfed down most of the entities in hours of a day. she swears she doesnât eat much, says she doesnât really care for food as much as her carnivorous acquaintances who invite her out but food somehow always becomes a question with a disbelieving answer to pair. itâs how she keeps a figure, she ends up telling the ahjumma beside her in line. why food is so scarce and the portions are so little, food is a one percent in a 99 percent life thatâs dedicated to things more important.
so when the one percent ends up being more than fifty-seven-thousand won, jinhee has no choice but to ( begrudgingly ) hand over hard earned bills, she does because the old woman beside her reminds her that without a healthy meal, she could die â how morbid, but true. and nineteen year old jinhee would rather live than die over an unimportant one percent of her life.
and as much as she doesnât care for the one percent as she takes long strides out of the supermarket, automatic doors closing behind her genetically-perfected ass, when the one perfect piled into a brown paper bag falls out of the paper bag and weak cardboard splits at the bottom of the bag, jinhee sure as hell wasnât going to let it go without screaming her head off ( even if she was in the middle of a dozen people ) out of frustration for the dumb one percent that happened to fuck with her day.Â
fuck one percent.
âI want Samgyetang. Itâs so hot.â
âI need hangover stew. My head is killing me!â
âHaemul pajeon! Make it the way I like it!â
Moonbyul wanted to groan as she jumpbed her bags of ingredients for each dish. Because she could cook so well, her step-family expected her to cook something. Usually, she just made one thing, but today, her step family wanted to be annoying and ask for three different things. She would get them done, but why couldnât they all just agree on one thing.
âSamgyetang for sae ummanim, Hangover stew for Jinmyeon unnie and pajeon for Jinjeong unnie⌠I think I got everything,â Moonbyul mumbled to herself as she looked over the list on ingredients. She had most of the recipe memorized, but her step family liked to add random things they thought tasted good (which they didnât most of the time), so Moonbyul decided to make a list of each one to make sure it was alright.
She shuffled the two bags in her arms to rest against a railing as she read off the recipes. A sudden scream nearly had he drop the two bags. She stared behind her and blinked several times at the girl whose bags had ripped. Moonbyul decided to stuff the list in the front pocket of her overalls and making her way towards the girl. None of the old ladies who walked by wanted to help. Go figure.
Squatting down, she sat her bags down at her side and started gathering the items together in a nice pile. She moved awkwardly in her squatted position, but she made quick time of setting everything together.
âHere. Go back and ask for more bags. Double them up so it will have more strength. They didnât pack it rightâŚ. Hurry, hurry,â she ordered the girl with a smile, waving her hand a bit. She protect the girlâs things from being taken or breaking anymore.Â

rklukeâ:
âyou see that girl right there? from behindâŚ. damn, she looks good.â âyeah, sheâs not bad. could end up being a bitch, though. look at her clothesâŚâ âthat doesnât matter⌠should i talk to her? fuck, iâm tired of the stale flat ass girls you keep bringing over to our table. iâm gonna get a waiter toââ
tonight was a rarity for shon minho. normally, his nights were filled with sweaty gyrating bodies, an abundance of good weed and alcohol and at least one girl perched in his lap while the bass bounced off of the walls. but tonight was going to be a chill night, or so he convinced himself after being invited out to some upscale swanky lounge bar. it was supposed to be famous (for what?) or something, but luke wasnât too interested in the extra fancy details. it was obvious they merely spent a few extra hours picking out the best dim lighting and candles to match the fifteen dollar cocktails on the menu. it was a waste, to be honest. the same amount of money he was spending listening to some soft house music with vocals he could never quite make out could be spent sitting at a vip table with girls pouring in and out of the seats until he found his pick.
âexcuse me!â the moment grabbed the waiterâs attention, he passed over a note he managed to drunkenly scribble down in approximately twenty seconds with probably a boatload of spelling mistakes to be passed over to the girl he noticed early. she wasnât too bad on the eyes, plus it was a possibility she was waiting for a friend or something. whatever the case might be, she could spend her time waiting next to him. his friends spent the entire night anyways calling over girls with too much plastic surgery and a lack of social skills. so now, it was his turn to show them how it was to be done. or so, how he had hoped it. whatâs the worse that could happen anyways? it wasnât as if she was a prostitute or anything, right? and the least she could say is no, which was partially hard to believe. the overall visuals werenât too shabby at his table, plus the bottles were overflowing and it was an ample time for any female to get a free few drinks in before telling him to fuck off. he was doing her a favorâŚ. right?
despite his friendsâ overall disapproval, he turned his full attention to the female to make sure she received the note. maybe it wouldâve been better if he wrote it in englishâŚ. fuck, this wasnât the time for him to second guess himself. the moment she glanced over her shoulder, he beckoned her over with a small grin, patting the spot next to him. âcome here.â
blonde hair, red nails, pink lips, miles of unbreached pale skin just waiting to be tainted by lips and hands, alike, -- the picturesque beauty of plasticity if there ever was one. serri sits alone, fingers dancing around the rim of a martini glass filled with cool liquid -- water -- the illusion of drinking had always been better than actually doing it. laying in wait, the phone tucked into her purse nestled at the corner of the barâs edge is silent, the needed understanding of meeting a man at his requested place was in mind but where was this man? serri wasnât one for being stood up and she had already made up her mind that if he didnât come along in the next five minutes, whoever came up to her would have her for the night -- whether or not they knew how much she cost.
with one leg crossed across the other, the skinny stiletto of heels that were far more expensive than her asking price cuts against her ankle, a testy reaction to an impatience that was beginning to grow across her youthful appearance. slender fingers take the glass, downing the rest of the water before pushing it away, a wave of the hand saluting the bartender for another one of the sparkling gems heâd been handing her for the past half hour.Â
wasted time meant wasted money she could have been earning elsewhere and serri wasnât for her precious time being a waste -- certainly she was worth more than that.Â
and when all seemed lost, as if god, himself, had answered serriâs atheistic prayers -- time had suddenly come to pay her back for what had been thrown away. the tap to the shoulder calls her attention, subtle shifts of the eyes and the whispered explanation reveals the napkin exchange in simple moments that turn to questionable motives. but serri was never one to wait for answers, not when questions seemed like pesky barriers to a night worth living.
so she pushes blonde hair past her shoulders, chancing her luck for a look at the man who had desired her attentions; a single glance, an unspoken command and suddenly heels were lifted, obedient in her chase, clicking across the floor before a body met with anotherâs; shamelessly taking his lap as her seat, innocently reasoning that she needed to get a better, more up-close look at the male.
âwho are you?â she finally asks, dark doe-like eyes gaze at the man, having come all the way here -- answers were sought.
iâm worth it
rkyewon:
yewon isnât sure how she had gotten herself into this situation, but help from anyone is always something to be appreciated and grateful for. thatâs what her parents taught her anyway. the kind unnie who had offered is to be treated with respect because she is doing her a service, although yewon isnât sure what the older had planned for her. walking in blind isnât the best way to go about things, but yewon doesnât really have a choice, too intimidated to ask the other.
she catches the faint foul odor of cigarette smoke before anything else. she immediately spins in the other direction so she wonât have to inhale it. she would never understand why people felt the need to smoke. it smells horrible. she heard it even leaves your clothes and car with the stench. yewon canât judge them too harshly because they probably had their reasons, but she knows for a fact there wonât be a day where she tries it for herself.
yewon feels her phone vibrating in the pocket of her pastel pink suspender skirt. itâs one of her favorite skirts with a heart design on the side. she paired it with a casual white t-shirt and her sneakers. she was proud of her outfit. itâs cute and it looks like it sort of matches. she pulls out her phone and answers the call. âhello?â the voice on the other end reminds her why sheâs here. âah, yeah, i think so. i donât see you thoughâoh!â yewon turns around and sees a girl who looks like jei. without hanging up, she approaches her slowly. the unpleasant scent of cigarette smoke still hangs in the air.
she hangs up her phone and returns it to her pocket once she confirms that, yes, the girl is jei. âhi, sorry iâm  a little late,â she greeted and glanced around a bit. âsoâŚwhatâs up?â
the call ends abruptly, an high-pitched understanding makes the click all the more reasonable as the phone leaves small hands to find comfort in the satin interior of her purse. the cigarette that once hung from slender digits is dropped to the ground, trampled by permanently size five feet before a small smile rises in recognition. âyay,â the appeal for enthusiasm is light and easily bounces off her tongue in a gentle manner. honey-blonde tresses are pushed away from her face, tumbling past shoulders and down the length of her back as she walks towards the other. âyouâre finally here. now let me take a look at you.âÂ
her eyes take in the other; from her youthful gaze to the more-than obvious teeny-bopper phase the other was going through, which had to be expected since she was a teen, but it was never too early to become an adult right? and the first to go was this far too bright for the eyes skirt. âoh love,â her tongue clicks, fingers reaching down to tug gently at the hem of her skirt. âwho dressed you today?â
a shake of the head reveals her concern and sympathetically unreasonable disapproval. âthis needs to be at least an inch or two shorter, and you definitely need a new bra. what would you do without me.â a dramatic sigh here, and another tug there, hands meet the otherâs as she pulls her into the store. âyou are about to have a fashion makeover!â
because it was the least serri could do, who was she but to help the unfashionably unfortunate reach their ultimate gorgeous potential. a literal modern fairy godmother -- with better boobs, of course.

   SERRI  ON THE TOPIC OF [ * PLASTIC SURGERY ] ;
serri has gotten plastic surgery twice. her first time was to get her nose fixed; make it smaller, slimmer, the expected process while her second was to go up a cup-size ( or two, she insists it was just one size up when really it was two ) . she doesnât have a problem with plastic surgery, especially when she isnât the one spending a dime on it. and no, getting things done isnât a cry for help or a self-esteem issue itâs moreso if someone wants to pay her to do it, she would; sheâs kind of like the girl who says âhow high?â when another asks her to âjump!â.Â
when she got her breasts done, it was completely paid for, despite the costs skyrocketing above her usual pay-grade, her *honey had no problem paying for them; his only exception was that the surgeon make them as realistic as surgically possible ( ie. scene from 200 pound beauty ) . she had a two-week recovery period before she was back in action, showing off her new tits like some prize she won at the district fair. though, itâs obvious that she did get work done on her chest, serri finds most of her clients without complaints considering the belief that bigger is better applies.Â
( * honey = her sugardaddies, her special name for them )
her nose job, on the other hand, was all her -- she fronted the entire cost and though it meant giving a little âshowâ to her landlord ( because she came up short for two monthsâ worth of rent ) , it was worth it. she did it because she always hated her nose -- she got her fatherâs nose, and that was enough of an argument for her. and though for others it wasnât so bad, serri didnât mind going under the knife for such a petty thing, everyone seemed to be getting plastic surgery if they were able to -- why couldnât she?
sheâs not upfront about her opinion on plastic surgery but if someone were to ask her about it: whether she got work done, if she approves, or simply showcases their disapproval of it, serri will absolutely, positively be defensive and probably become snide, sheâs proud of what has been done and if it looks good, it looks good -- thatâs all she thinks you should worry about.Â

charisma starter* just another
*just another: she downs glass after glass until a high of cool and refreshing! washes over her, sobriety never tasted so bitter. like ice against a heated temple, it warms and fades â the simmer of patience as fingers tap against glass, calling for another round â water with ice, simple and boring. a style sheâs lived with for the past year â the taste of alcohol on the tongue is sin and she truly believes the devil is right beside her coaxing her to give in at the slightest; but she doesnât, fear tells her not to, guilt guides her to the right path ⌠leads her blind and ready into the arms of men who spend thousands on her. itâs why sheâs here isnât she? another bar, filled to the tens of business suits and viagra: her preying ground. fingertips burn iced glass, clarity is fogged at the edges, heat spilling over and melting ice that settled at the top of her drink.Â
a sip, the sly lick of the lips and eyes that rise above to stare at her surroundings. dark and mysterious, studying her place in the masses, where she stood in the hierarchy of wealthy men and disinterested wives, she was the cherry to their boring ice cream sundae. a treat and loved for a limited time â if the money was there, that is.Â
she makes no move, gets up when a male â presentable, at the slightest. a looker, sure. rich? well she was about to find out.
fingers hold her glass, it tips and water cascades down; dousing the lad in what had been a purposeful plunge of curiosity. the reaction splayed across sharp features and thin lips is slow, surprising some would say as petals part and a sharp gasp rises. âoh my, iâm so sorry. that isnât expensive is it?â she surpasses innocent and falls in line with coy and helpful, fingers rising to press into his chest, pulling fabric away from damp skin.Â
There is a sense of comfort in the burn from the burn of the alcohol as it runs soothingly down his throat. A lingering peace that envelopes him in a state of light intoxication. Heâs not tipsy just yet but on his best way and the idea seemed prosperous when tipping his whiskey on the rocks back again. Usually heâs not one for the hard things but Jaebum isnât home, his friends are busy as always and there is no work left for him to do.
Returning home to an empty apartment seems less enjoyable than taking a drink in a bar close by with just himself to keep company. Like a lonely soul he stared at the ice cubes as they melted slowly, withered away like his good intentions he had made in hopes they would help lessen the pain, to make him deal better with the loss he suffered. He watched them rotate as he swirled his glass, rotated it on the table to set the liquid within moving.Â
After all he had nothing better to do than stare at his drink.
At least until a breathtaking beauty âaccidentlyâ poured her drink over his shirt.
Jackson didnât think, blinked at her, then his shirt and took it off. Her question had sparked his curiosity and he didnât remember the brand. âNo idea. it was a gift from a shooting.â He recognized the brand. It was expensive. In the end Jackson shrugged. After all, matters surrounding money had never been any of his concern. Instead he put the shirt back on, swiped a napkin across the wet spot once, twice and turned his attention back to the girl. âWould you like a new water?â He asked, charming smile on his lips.Â
what are your pronouns? how can I respect you?
