If Mercury Falling were ever adapted into a movie, animated or otherwise, I feel like they would change the ending in one drastic way.

Thad would accept Max's offer, however he would accept it during the moment when in the comics he walked away leaving both Bart and Max to deal with the Speed Force alone.

In the movie, Thad would "see the nihilism of his creation" and would embrace himself as the hero he became.... by sacrificing himself to save Bart and Max.

The movie would end with Max and Bart wondering if Thad was still alive and forgiving him for his wrongdoings.

Everyone cheers how great of an adaptation it is and how it made the story better because "Thad died loved" when no, he didn't. He may have died on his own terms doing something he really wanted to do, for himself, for others, but he wasn't loved at all.

I got chewed out in front of my arts class today because I haven't finished my graded assignments. The thing is just listening to her telling the class to use ai for everything feels mega unmotivating to me to even start working. Like wow should I even continue my arts course ykwim like what's the point. If I knew this would happen two years ago I wouldn't have gotten out of my way to apply for arts lowk. Or maybe I should've gone to tvet instead of academics yk. Anyway I can't get myself to work on the assignments again tonight so I doodled Bart instead
