one night at the dinner table i need bart to be staring really intensely at maxs ear. max is (not) refusing eye contact (it's very normal to stare at your food or daughter or ceiling or literally anyone except bart while you're trying to eat!!) and helen is looking between the two trying to figure out what's up. finally, she asks bart and he's like. "max has a closed piercing." max gives a noncommittal hum. "kon says that's the gay ear" in the driest possible way ever max is like. "really. how interesting." and then continues to eat his dinner and ignores all further attempts at conversation
