Reading Surah Yusuf is an aid and cure for removing sadness.

The Surah was revealed to Rasūlullāh ﷺ after the Year of Sadness. It was during this year that he felt great pain and yearning due to the passing away of his beloved wife and his uncle. The early generation including Imam ‘Ata ibn Abi Rabah would say, ‘Surah Yusuf is not heard by a person except that it brings rest to the soul.’

These are treasures and gifts from the Creator to His creation.
