I lowkey think Jace is a shit parabatai. The whole chat he and Alec have in the cave in CoHF encompassed everything I felt Jace failed at. He never seemed to be there for Alec when he needed someone, but always expected Alec to be there when something happened with Clary. CoHF onwards he’s been way better, but in the early TMI books I thought he kinda sucked.

jace was completely shit BUT also gave us this interaction:

I believe as a fandom we are severely overlooking how accurate julian and emma's version of the herondale family motto. "If you don't know you're last name its probably Herondale" this has been canonically true twice so far and you know cassie probably gonna happen again.
