Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Okay.
okay.
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Yeah.
Great...
I will come over and help you with your stuff.
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Thank you… I appreciate that.
So is that a yes?
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Probably. …Really?
If you want to....
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
I guess it shouldn’t, right?
Not really. I can’t go flying yet, either.
No it shouldn't. You should get that looked at by a doctor.
I can't so anything about the flying...but would you like to come stay with me until you feel better? I have a spare room.
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
For a week.
And your heard still hurts?
Are you back at school? The loud dorms probably don't help.
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Sometimes I have trouble sleeping. Other than that, I think so.
I can imagine.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Pain medicine…
Yeah… my Mom isn’t very well…
Oh. I see.
Are you alright?
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
I um, already took something so I should be fine… but um.. yeah… I had a little accident back home…
What did you take?
.....an Accident?
Even after two weeks, I still have headaches.
Well that doesn't sound very good...

Paige had no idea what was going on, in the worst way. Everything was so confusing and upside down and it made her chest and head almost physically ache. When she’d had her breakdown months ago and remembered all of the awful things that had happened to her and her family, it had seemed fuzzy and hastily put together. Memories were funny that way - especially when they were lost before, and they only started to return. It came in flashes and fragments and when she’d finally puzzled them all together like some large jigsaw, she was left with the hollow numbness of knowing her family would never completely be whole ever again. Her parents were dead. And her brother…? Well, she didn’t know what happened to him. It wasn’t as starkly clear as the image of her parents being killed. But she told herself that he was still alive, out there somewhere. Looking for her? Searching? Possibly… And then she’d see him. At first it was just flashes of a ghost-like figure that only lasted a moment or two before it almost vanished completely out of nowhere. And then, suddenly… it was much more real. He wasn’t just an ever-elusive image floating in and out of her daily life, but… he was a real person. Walking down the street. Driving. She’d seen him once or twice on the college campus when she was there for or with Peyton, and it nearly stole her breath away. He was older than he had been before, and much more stable and solid, and… different, somehow. And it was enough that she wouldn’t - couldn’t dare - approach him. She was terrified he wouldn’t be real. That she was just imagining him or going insane. And with each time he neglected to approach her, her thoughts grew more and more validated. A horrible idea crept in and told her that it was impossible for him to be her brother, here and healthy and alright, but she desperately didn’t want to believe that.
And then, finally, she’d met him. And they talked so easily that she was sure it had to be him. She’d been so relieved that she finally wasn’t alone anymore. That a piece of her family was still here, still alive, still able to be grasped in her hands... But that had all come crashing down when he looked at her, confused, and gave a different name. She didn’t understand. Her head jumbled itself up all over again and she’d begun to cry, because she didn’t understand. She couldn’t understand how it wasn’t him. They looked so alike, though he was obviously older and his hair had changed slightly. And the more she studied him now, in the car - when had she gotten in a car? She couldn’t even remember how that had happened or where they were headed, she was too concentrated on trying to find similarities and differences in his face to think about it - the more it became apparent that she’d possibly been wrong. But then… if this wasn’t her brother… what had happened to Theodore?
She couldn’t think about it, and she was jolted from being forced to when they arrived at a house and she was led inside. She took off her shoes and followed him numbly, like a ghost. She wasn’t really there. Her mind was back where she’d met this boy, trying to make sense of things. Where is Theodore? Who is this boy - this man? What happened to her brother? …Did she want to know?
She didn’t hear his question until a moment later, as though it was delayed from reaching her ears. She shook her head robotically and pulled her gaze up from the floor to look at him. But those eyes… they were so familiar to her. She bit her lip as her throat closed up, and she wanted to cry again. It was wrong. She wanted Theo. This had to be him. It had to be. “Y-You’re really n-not him…?” she asked almost as quiet as a whisper, eyes filling with tears again. She just wanted him to say yes and hold her and tell her that everything was going to be alright. That he was here now, and she didn’t have to be alone anymore. She didn’t have to deal with these things by herself anymore.
Robbie looked down on the poor confused girl and lightly frowned. "I am terribly sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about," He said sympathetically. He then realized that it wasn't the best way to brake the news to her. "We have never met before today, trusts when I tell you that I would remember if I had another sister..." Robbie paused looking at the floor and back up to Paige. She did reminded him a little bit of his late younger sister. They didn't look much alike at all, or did they seem to act so much alike, but her essence reminded him for sure. It wasn't a case of long lost siblings at all. Robbie's sister was dead beyond belief, he wished he could the fateful day it happened, but it was forever engraved in his memories. He tried to bring a light smile to his face and reached out to the girls shoulder. He noticed her reaction to his touch, and almost retracted it, but stopped when he realized that most people found touching comforting. Robbie wasn't a huge fan of physical contact outside of people most close to him, girls he slept with, and emergency moments(such as that one). "I think you would feel better if you got some sleep...like I said...we can figure this out in the morning..." The boy knew that if he could get her to go to sleep then her brain could rest and she would at least be ready to deal with whatever she was going through in the morning. So that's what he was trying to convince her of.
cinder-ella-ashton-faline replied to your post: . BUT IT WAS SO GOOD fjkdfjkdf
say what now? I wrote half at like 6:30 am (no sleep before) and the rest just now (3:30 am), a day apart... I think. (it all blends together when my sleep schedule is off). Ain't none of that was all that impressive.

|| Are you my brother? | Paige & Robbie Para ||
After all of his days combined at his new school, Robbie could admit that meeting Paige was the strangest experience he had yet. The girl seemed to draw him in, maybe it was her innocent face, or how helpless she looked, something about her reminded him of someone. No matter what the case, upon meeting the girl, something strange was going on. She insisted that she knew him and that he knew here. That they were siblings, or at least it sounded like that. Robbie knew this to be false for he had a sister, but she was buried in the ground. The tall boy knew nothing about the poor girl, besides her being terribly confused. After her crying and making no sense, he decided to take her home. She failed to become any clearer on their walk back towards the dorms. Not wanting to drop the girl off in the middle of the night, Robbie decided to take her back to his house and settle it in the morning, when things were calm again. This was a huge deal for Robbie. For many reasons he didn’t openly invite people often. He had no friends since moving to Florida, not even his ones back home got to stay over. Not even girls that Robbie slept with were allowed to stay the night. He was very particular with the way things had to be done and run, especially with his house. But seeing Paige in such a state, he had compassion and figured that one night couldn’t hurt anyone.
The girl had grown quiet in the car ride over, making quick glances towards, as if checking to make sure Robbie hadn’t disappeared. He didn’t mind the quiet, in fact, he preferred it, if Paige was normally quiet, then he could learn to like her just fine. His head lights showed that they were arriving at Robbie’s small old house. It didn’t show at night, but the house was a worn out shade of yellow, with white trim. He didn’t mind the color, the house came with it, but it was cheap rent, so the house could be painted pink and he would still like it. He pulled into the driveway, parked his car, made sure to put on the emergency brake and got out.
After wiping their feet on the light yellow mat that Dreama had helped Robbie pick out, they entered the small old house. Robbie had them remove their shoes by the door and make their way to the kitchen. The old wood floor would creak under them as they walked. There was a reason why the small house had such cheap rent, it was a dump. Robbie had cleaned and improved it in whatever way his small budget would allow, including scrubbing practically every part of the house. He realized that no matter what he did, without spending a fortune, the house would always look a little worn and torn, which didn’t bother him as long as it was clean. They stood in silence for a moment before Robbie broke it. “Would you like something to drink?” He asked, trying to sound normal. Robbie didn’t really like people in his house, this was his space to have complete control over everything. When people came, it was normally unwanted variables. Robbie didn’t hate people or anything, but annoying and loud house guests who touch everything were one of his biggest pet peeves. He looked down at the Paige, she seemed harmless enough, if anything she looked defenseless. Robbie cleared that reasoning as to why he let her into his house.
So I got a Library card today.
I don’t like lying.
It wasn’t boring. I got to grow up with elephants, giraffes, and zebras and performed under the big top. …You can’t say that every day.
Neither do I.... although I will say there is a difference between lying to lie and lying when absolutely necessary.
Definitely not boring at all and I know I can't say that about my growing up. Although sometimes I felt like I was living in a zoo.
