Hello! Im not gonna introduce myself with my name since I don’t like it and nobody uses it anyway so please call me Robby!! I’m a caregiver but sadly I’m not in a time of my life where I’m able to have a little, so I decided I could help somebody through the internet. At this point it’s important that you know that I’ve never posted anything on tumblr so I might use the tags wrong and my blog might also not be the most visually pleasing (but I will try to keep it as tidy and comfortable as possible!)

I will try and will probably be able to reply throughout most of the day. I’d also like to apologise in advance for any mistakes I might make in English, since it’s not my first language.

As for more things about me: I’m interested in history, literature, sociology, politics, art, but I also really like marvel and DC. I also love The Pitt!!

Anyway, feel free to vent, ask for advice, or anything really, just please don’t ask any questions regarding my private life. As I prefer not to talk about those in here :))

I really want a little I can play games with

Video games, board games, card games, etc.

If it’s a game they know and are teaching me like “daddy you don’t know it??”

Or it’s one they’ve never played before and I’m teaching them the controls and being patient with them “click here… mhm, good job!”

Letting them win some games I mean… who said that 👀

Especially with the cozy games I like to play. I’d love to have a little to play those with.

Having little game nights with each other.

Things like candy land?? Little puzzles, word searches, etc

Honestly an easy bake oven would probably be really fun to use too even if that food is nasty

Wait bc being a cg is sometimes just as healing as being a regressor, LETS TALK ABOUT IT

Bc yea sometimes I just wanna wind down and be taken care of and have all the attention on me…

But having a teeny little thing looking at you with all the trust in the world? Regression really is such a vulnerable state, and it can take a lot for someone to really trust you enough to have you as their person

Giving someone the care you wish you’d had as a kid / that you want when regressed. Giving them the love and care they deserve.

I think being someone’s carer really is such a great thing and it feels so freaking special to me

AND the fun parts? Playing pretend with them, playing silly games, seeing their face light up when something really hits em in the feels

thinking again about a littles are known AU, but it's all the times that robby's coworkers and other department heads have seen little dennis when robby's on online meetings with them- because little dennis is *always* in his daddy's lap.

they've seen dennis in a young toddler headspace, sat contentedly on robby as the older man has his arms around his waist, where the boy is quietly driving toy cars and tractors up and down his daddy's arms and making small "brmmmm..." noises. they hear the older man occasionally praise him quietly, calling him a smart boy and promising him a new truck if he keeps up his good behaviour in the meeting.

they've seen teeny tiny baby dennis all swaddled up on robby's chest, eyes closed and pacifier bobbing in his mouth as he sleeps, with robby cuddling him so carefully it's like the little one is made of glass. robby usually doesn't focus on these meetings so much, attention fully on his baby boy and kissing his golden curls, always checking that he's correctly swaddled and his puppy dog toy is tucked in. these scenes always make the other department heads coo to themselves, the caregivers amongst them aching for the same kind of infant to hold and protect.

they've seen baby dennis awake and playing with the same puppy dog toy, but then seen him turn fussy at a moment's notice and start to bawl and sob, which caused robby to mute his screen and get up to soothe his denny. they see him walk too and fro in the open plan kitchen behind him, bouncing the squalling baby in his arms and petting his head, before making him a bottle. when robby returns to the seat at his desk, dennis is laid sideways in his lap and is resting in the crook of one elbow, eyes drooping as he's fed his bottle and calmed by the full belly. it makes the others on the call want to kiss his red little cheeks the way robby gets to.

one noteable occasion had them all see three or four year old dennis start babbling at them, showing off his teddy bear dressed as a doctor while his daddy went to the bathroom. he showed them the stethoscope, and the mini scrubs he wore, and was so enthusiastic he was practically vibrating where he sat, unaware and uncaring of the fact that these were the most senior people in the PTMC that he was chattering to. they'd all encouraged and praised him too, just like robby did. a happy little was a very important thing to ensure, and denny grinned so widely his cheeks must've hurt.

all in all, they've seen that baby boy so much that they begin to think of robby as "dennis's daddy, who also runs the ER"- denny is like a little celebrity to the staff, all enamoured by his cuteness and how well his daddy takes care of him. robby wouldn't have it any other way. his baby *is* someone who ought to be universally adored, after all!

Dennis has a habit of bringing Robby random objects for approval.

Robby doesn't realize how reassuring his praise is. To him, saying "good job" is a small thing. To Dennis, it can completely change the course of a difficult day.

Dennis will hold onto Robby's sleeve when he's sleepy.

If Dennis falls asleep on him, Robby will stay in the same position for far longer than is comfortable. Robby has spent entire evenings trapped on the couch because Dennis fell asleep against him.

Even when Dennis isn't actively seeking comfort, Robby checks in quietly. A hand on the shoulder. Asking if he's eaten. Making sure he's getting enough rest.

Dennis gets attached to certain words and repeats them throughout the day.

Robby figures out that Dennis listens better when instructions are specific. "Go get ready for bed" becomes "brush your teeth, then grab your plushie."

Dennis often notices details other people miss and gets genuinely excited when Robby notices them too.

Dennis has all his plushies neatly organized on his bed. He always takes one with him where ever he goes, even to work then one is in his backpack. Robby get's too choose one that get's to come along the night before.

Robby was halfway through reading when he noticed it.

Not because Dennis had said anything.

Because Dennis hadn't.

The apartment had been quiet for nearly twenty minutes.

Lowering his book, Robby glanced across the room.

Dennis was sitting on the floor, surrounded by stuffed animals.

Every single one of them was facing the television. Even the ones that clearly couldn't sit up on their own.

Robby watched as Dennis carefully adjusted one that had fallen over.

Then another.

Then another.

Only once he seemed satisfied did he settle back in his spot.

A few moments later, without looking away from the cartoon, Dennis scooted backwards until his shoulder bumped against Robby's leg.

Not enough to interrupt what he was doing. Just enough to be touching.

Robby hid a smile behind his book.

The stuffed animals remained perfectly arranged for the rest of the evening.

🍓 making a cute plate full of age-appropriate snacks, cutting up fruit, laying out cookies and crackers

🪻 buying little snacks or toys when i'm at the store and giving them to a little one as a surprise

🐕 sleepy cuddling in a blanket fort

💫 filling up a little one's bottle/sippy or bringing them their stuffies, paci or a snack because they're either too busy playing or too comfy in their bed/crib

🍊 noticing a little one slipping but trying so hard to be all grown up, giving them the space to regress and be their little self - having a little "no, you're too small for that" moment
