Finding true Satisfaction In Life

Is that the question you are asking yourself?

After achieving all that you wanted to achieve, after reaching the place and position in your life that you wanted to reach, after having the money you always wanted to have, after having a name and a fair amount of fame in your life, after having tried all that you wanted to try to make your life happier – are you still unsatisfied? Or maybe you have achieved nothing in life and feel you are a 'nobody' in this life and so are unsatisfied. In pursuit of satisfaction you may have tried everything possible - being with family, hanging out for endless hours with friends, movies, drinking, smoking, drugs, pornography and maybe even sex! But you still feel an emptiness that nothing can fill, a longing no one can satisfy. You feel you are still missing something.

You feel that your life is worse now than before and there seems to be no purpose or meaning to your life!

Our Hearts are made for God. Our lives are made for God, our creator. Nothing that we do can ever satisfy our hearts fully…because it was made for God and God alone can satisfy us. He created us and we were made for Him, to love Him and worship Him but instead we just 'use' Him for our benefits – all we want from Him is blessing, protection and prosperity! But as long as we stay that way we will continue to be empty, lonely and unsatisfied. In the Bible, in Jeremiah chapter 2 and verse 13 God says,

'My people have committed two sins: They have abandoned me - the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that hold no water at all'.

What Does It Mean To Be Born Again?

Jesus, in his conversation with Nicodemus told him that unless a man is born again he will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So, if being born again is the way into the Kingdom of God, then it is of utmost importance; in fact, it is the most important aspect of a persons’ life, as being born again or not is going to determine his/her eternal destiny.

WHAT DID JESUS MEAN WHEN HE SAID ‘BE BORN AGAIN’?

To be born again means to be born anew – born anew into a relationship with God. While we may consider ourselves prayerful and therefore spiritual, the Bible reveals that ‘we are all spiritually dead’ – completely disconnected from God – from the time of birth because of sin.

     In Eph 2:1 the Bible says, ‘And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins’

To be born again is to be made alive to God in our spirits. Being born into a relationship with God opens to us a new world, a new Kingdom : the Kingdom of God. A person being born again implies that he is now a child of God, a citizen of heaven and is saved from eternal damnation.

When we are born the first time, it was our birth in the flesh, through our parents into this world, but in order to enter(be born) into the Kingdom of God, Jesus said we need to be ‘born again’ by water and the spirit. Just because a person is born into a Christian family, or has been baptized (as an infant or adult), or goes to Church and prays regularly, or is active in the Church, it does not mean that he is born into a relationship with God or will enter into the Kingdom of God. He needs to be born again. That is why Jesus said, ‘You must be born again’...

Jesus Christ: More Than Just A Man

Jesus Christ has changed the course of this world and the course of millions of lives as no one else has. History is divided into B.C and A.D by reference to His birth and nearly one out of every three people on this earth profess to be his followers. Who is this man? What is it that so different about Him that people are even willing to give up their lives for Him?

Some say Jesus is a great teacher, some say He is a great revolutionary. Still a few others say that He is just a Prophet or a great spiritual leader.

So, WHO IS HE?

Is He just a great teacher? Jesus healed those who were blind, gave hearing to the deaf; he made the lame walk and healed the lepers. He healed ALL the sick that came to Him. He did it 2000yrs ago while He was on the earth and does it even today! Have you heard of any other teacher who heals diseases and sicknesses?

Is He then just a revolutionary? Jesus did not only heal the sick but He even raised dead people back to life. Have you heard of any revolutionary who raises dead people back to life!

Is He then just a great prophet or spiritual leader with supernatural powers? Jesus suffered on the cross and died for us and was laid in the tomb; but on the third day ROSE AGAIN by His own power and even visited his disciples during a 40 day period. Have you heard of any other prophet or spiritual leader who has risen from the dead!!!

Jesus is more than a great teacher, more than a revolutionary, more than a prophet and more than a spiritual leader.

He is more than just a man …… HE IS GOD. He gave His life because He loves you. He took the punishment that you deserve and gave His life in exchange for yours that you may not be condemned by God… if you believe.  If you ask Him HE will forgive ALL your sin and give you a new life. If you believe in Him He will heal ALL your sicknesses. Believe Him and INVITE Him into your life and your life will be transformed.
