THE WONDERfools 원더풀스 | 2026, Ep. 3
What’s your opinion on the Kyle thing?
"The whole situation feels pretty complicated, but I think Daphne has a good handle on how to fix it. Probably not the perfect solution, but it satiates her parents, and honestly I know exactly how it feels to do things to make parents happy so I can't say much. I've had some speed bumps over the years when it comes to being in charge of Kyle, but ultimately he's harmless. It's fine."
Who would you date on Heartopia?
"Probably those randos Lemoine and Saeros. If not them, probably Albert Jr., because he provides for me. Just not that backstabber Massimo."
How are you feeling about your family these days?
"I love my family here on the ship more than anything. Feeling kind of resentful about my parents."
What's your opinion on Theo?
"Oh yeah, I hear he's really cool. Don't tell anyone, but I have a massive crush on him."
Fuck, marry, kill: Leo, Kyle, and Mark
"Insane list, really. Marry Mark, Fuck Leo, kill Kyle. I do not think Kyle would be good in bed, and I unfortunately know that Leo would be. Wait but he and Ryder - agh, too late, I guess. Answers are there."
Hey Robin random question, what are your thoughts on marriage?
"... The institution of it, or marriage for me personally? I love love, and the romantic in me enjoys seeing people find their person (or persons) and wanting to have a ceremony to celebrate that. I'd be the biggest hypocrite if I cried over Sky and Ali getting married while not agreeing with it.
"The idea of marriage for me... well, it terrifies me. Because I want it for myself, but I feel like I can't have it. No, I know I'm not allowed to have it. But. Um. Thoughts on marriage? Big fan."
Do you think Ryder or Theo has any feelings still for Trex?
"No. They've both said they've moved on, and I trust them."
How does it feel to almost be 30?
"Oh come on, I still have three years! You have to give me those."
How are things going with Theo?
"Great, I think? If there's nothing else stable in my life, he is, and wow that's a relieving feeling. I love Theo very very much. He's my person, and I'm not letting him go anywhere."
What do you think of the new crew?
"So new crew... how far back are we counting? Because I swear Theo and Ian and Daniel still feel like new crew. Being an open question I'll just cap myself off at the Olarity siblings and Sapphira.
"Sapphira seems nice, and like she'll be fun to hang out with. She has a lot of good ideas that are interesting to hear about. Tori... um, I don't know her that well, I can't say. She seems unruly but also like she wants to keep her job, so I haven't had problems so far. If I had more interesting things to say then I would.
"Trex... well, I'm probably supposed to not like him since he's my boyfriend's ex? But I don't not like him, if that makes sense. He's got many more important things to worry about than delving into past interpersonal relationships, and he also doesn't seem to care much about talking to me, so that'll remain mutual, unless it doesn't."
What do you think of Daniel and Ryder trying long distance?
He snorts. “What—you’re asking me to weigh in? This isn’t really my business, and they didn't ask for my opinion.”
“The long distance thing was inevitable with the mix of them being in love, Daniel doesn’t really want piracy as part of his future and the ship was more of a means to an end, and Ryder is… well, to put it shortly he has no intention of leaving the ship. Long distance would be a good solution for them if there was an end date, but there doesn’t seem to be one, so I worry.
“The thing about Ryder is he needs affection. He gets jealous when other people have affection and he doesn’t. This isn’t me picking out faults in my twin because it’s a completely reasonable feeling. But I worry that long distance has affected Ryder negatively. For instance I don’t think he would have reacted so strongly to Trex reappearing in his life.”
Back on Molfaun, he withdrew a lot because I was dating my ex at the time, and Sky got with Ali, and a large part of me feels like Ryder will go back to that if left to his own devices and headspace.
Do you want to be a captain one day?
“… Yes? I suppose that’s the natural next step in the grand scheme of things.”
I don’t really know, actually.
What do you think some of your flaws you can overcome are?
“Why does this feel like a 4th quarter review… my flaws? Maybe I’m too formal and serious nowadays. Or maybe I’m not formal and serious enough. I do a lot of overthinking, but I have no clue how to not think about something.
“But I mean, I’d like to think I’ve already done some introspection over the years and left behind some of my more immature parts of myself. I suppose I just need to keep working at that.”
Do you ever want to have kids?
“I don’t think so. I’m not in a position to have kids and give them a good life, and I don’t know if I will be. I’m happy to babysit, though.”
"Drama" would be an understatement for what she experienced on her last ship. Lix would take "drama" over a broken arm and a concussion or a mutiny to get Cal off the ship. She kept all of that to herself though, because the first mate didn't need to know just how volatile the Israx was. She wasn't sure what he meant by "weird," though. It was a big galaxy, so there were plenty of weird beings and weird places, so that could mean anything for the Prosperity. When Robin asked about her old crew, she averted her gaze to her feet and cleared her throat awkwardly. Touchy subject. "Some were," she replied vaguely, like Kivessin. It still hurt to think about him, so she pushed him from her mind from now. "From the sounds of things, they weren't as fun as your crew is. They didn't mess around too much."
The new navigator suddenly looked away from him and cleared her throat, so evidently he’d hit somewhat of a sore subject already. Good going, Robin. “We do have fun a lot,” he said to her, keen on pushing past that slight hiccup as well. “A-and there is a little bit of messing around, yes. I think when all’s said and done, the thing I’m proudest about us as a ship is we know pretty well when it’s time to have fun and when it’s time for things to be serious. But overall, we’re kind of tightknit as well. I’ve got a few family members aboard, even."
Lixiss never thought she'd see the day where she'd work with Alisz Astrea's sons. She didn't know the smuggler well, but she was notorious with her old crew. It was surprising the woman even had children, especially one that seemed so...friendly. Lix hadn't met the other one yet, but Robin seemed surprisingly nice. She nodded along quietly as the first mate gave her a tour of the navigation room, mentally comparing it to the old one. It would take a while for the Prosperity's to feel like home, but that couldn't be helped. She glanced down at the communication device when Robin mentioned it and turned it around in her hands. It was so fancy. "I won't need any training, but thanks for showing around," she said, offering the erkuss a small smile. "Is there anything I should know? About the crew in general, I mean." Her last one was so volatile that she was almost expecting one of these crewmates to try and assassinate Daphne.
"I didn't think so, but yeah, no problem," Robin said, returning the smile. She seemed reserved, but he wouldn't hold judgment on that until later. It was literally her first day; new place and all that. This was also a sort of common question, and it made sense to ask, people wanted to know what the crew was like, and he was a good person to ask about it. "Mmm. In general, I'd say we do a good job of getting along. There is some drama that happens, but you probably know all about how that goes. Close quarters and all that. We're also a bit weird, and I do unfortunately count myself in that. You'll probably see what I mean when you look at our ship group chat." He laughed, somewhat hesitantly. "Were the members of your old crew easy to get along with? I know on the outside your ship has a more...um, ruthless reputation, but maybe everyone inside were tightknit to make up for that...?"
