Hey folks!
(TL;DR: reply to this or send me asks with reader questions to be posted during a break!)
First off - the last page of the first chapter of my webcomic Robinfox District ( @robinfox-district ) is going live this week!
This is extremely exciting news! … but, unfortunately, I’m going to need some time to get the next chapter ready. The end of the school year is pretty crushing, and I don’t know when I’ll have the time and energy to push it through.
So while I can’t give you a date as to when the comic will return, here’s what I CAN give you - bonus content!! :0!
I’m not about to leave you cool guys hanging, so I’m gonna queue up some extra art to post weekly during the gap, and keep you updated on the progress of the chapter.
Which brings me to the reason I am making this post!
I’m going to try and do some READER QUESTIONS, so if you have any questions for our heroes, please leave your questions either in replies on this post or in my ask box!
And finally, if you want to contribute art for the gap, you can send me that via submission or email ([email protected]) and I’ll queue it for posting during the space! (All due credit given, of course!)

ELIOT: This was NOT supposed to happen.
Holy heck, friends... this seems to be the end of the first chapter! There will be a break between this chapter and the beginning of the next, stay tuned for an announcement on that! I’ll try and provide ~bonus content~ to the page between chapters, I’ll ask about that with the update!

GUARD 2: Forget the golem! GUARD 2: They’re getting away with the Bolt!

ELIOT: AAA-- SFX: ping ping ping
ELIOT: Nium --
NIUM: Run.

SFX: click

GUARD 2: W-- what --
GUARD 2: I-it’s a golem! GUARD 1: How-- GUARD 2: Does anyone have a disruptor? ELIOT: (hup)
action!!!
ELIOT: phew!
ELIOT: That went - NIUM: LOOK OUT!
ELIOT: whaaaa aO H H -- SFX: BANG
GUARD: STOP! GUARD: In the name of --
SFX: ZZZZZK!
And the lights go out...

SFX: bip bip bip

SFX: CL - ICK.

NIUM: Remember, our window is very small. NIUM: Backup will arrive shortly, and -
ELIOT: I know, Nium.
NIUM: Just be careful, alright?
ELIOT: Come on. I know you don’t care.
This is like the single piece of dialog that has remained unchanged from my original drafts of this chapter.
Explosions!!!

SFX: BWOOOM! GUARD: !!!
GUARD: ...
Oh, what’s this glowy deal?
ELIOT: Guards? NIUM: Two.
ELIOT: You can handle ‘em? NIUM: Of course.
ELIOT: Great. ELIOT: I’ll be right behind you.
What a suspicious room.
ELIOT: How close are we? NIUM: Not much farther -
NIUM: Ah -
ELIOT: What? NIUM: Here’s the door. Allow me to ... SFX: click!
Whenever I look at this page, all I can remember is doing the inking while listening to an audiobook of The Grapes of Wrath for class.
Sneaky…
NIUM: Right. NIUM: You’ve got the tools?
ELIOT: Yep. NIUM: Then let’s move.

What are these guys up to talking in the dark like this? Nothing good, probably.
ELIOT: All right. That went well. ELIOT: We have a minute here.
NIUM: Shall we review the plan one more time?
NIUM: Just to confirm we’re on the same page? ELIOT: Well -
ELIOT: Get inside - done. ELIOT: You know the way to the room. ELIOT: When we get there, you make a distraction, and I’ll grab the Bolt. ELIOT: We then escape in the ensuing pandemonium. ELIOT: Yeah?
