The Curio Chronicles, the final instalment.
It is my aim to get the final book of the series out by late October, Early November. A recent health scare and some family issues have delayed me a little, but I am back on track now. I cannot reveal too much, but will give you the following, in order to start the anticipation, for the final chapter of Abigail’s life.
I think it is easy to think that everything is finally working out and going smoothly.
To a degree, we have all fallen into that trap in our lives, we face adversity, then resolve the issues and take a long deep breath finally hoping that everything from here will be plain sailing.
Life at times can lull anyone into a false sense of security, but that usually is only a fleeting feeling.
Having achieved her goal and finally won the chair of the Paris Council, Abigail has found acceptance within the village of Wooton Dursley, and life for her has never been better.
It has been ten years since she joined the council, and three years ago, she stepped down from the council having achieved everything she wanted to do for her home village, and entered back into the public life of a writer, and cultural influencer through her work with Curio Life.
Being happy is one thing, staying happy is not always quite as easy as one would imagine, especially when you re-enter a world where others can control your life, via Dixon Publishing management and promotions companies.
With Anita at her side, it is not long before Abigail starts to wonder why Birch is never home at the same time as she is. Add to that the fact that the Curio’s are living their lives, as Edwina and Luke settle down in Millington with their new son, Deli who married Eric also has two children and now lives on Garden Street, Deb’s is busy building a book shop empire, and Anthony is working hard in his expanded business with much more staff.
There is only Chloe left at home, and with Abby and Birch’s hectic schedule, even she is starting to feel a little bit lonely.
Almost like a circle repeating, it appears like the Curio’s have drifted as life takes it’s toll, and Abby is starting to feel that things are no longer as they once were. It is time for a reality check, and with Birch never home, Abby’s is starting panic, and feels like she is the only one capable of pulling the Curio’s back together, especially considering she organising a Curio Live event in America, and as yet, most of the Curio’s have not even said if they will be going.
Abigail’s Curio Life, picks up at the age of forty years of age, and she is feeling some very old but familiar feelings, and whilst no one is taking her seriously, Abby feels if she does not make a bold scary effort, the Curio’s could separate forever. Driven by fear, Abby takes a huge leap of faith, and turns her whole life upside down, in order to make Birch and the rest of Curio’s sit up and take note, and that starts by leaving public life, and cancelling her contract with Dixon.
This final part of the Curio’s puzzle is a wild adventure for the adult Curio’s, as Abby takes the lead and pulls them back into reality with a short sharp shock, that sees tragedy strike when least expected, and a turn of events that will change Abby and Birch’s life forever.
The final sixth book, takes Abby and the gang from age forty into later life, where everything changes, including the village, as time takes it toll on the Curio’s, but brings out the best in them. This final book of the series, highlights the real truth of the Curio’s, as everything falls into place, and the series end shows the power of friendship, loyalty, family, and deep love that can bond and glue people together forever.
Abigail’s Curio Life is without doubt the best book of the series, that concludes the Curio’s and leaves a lasting impression on the reader.
