AI-generated images of public figures in intimate contexts should not be treated with the same levity as fanart.

Fanart is a reflection of the artist's imagination. The viewer knows this. AI imagery is something else. It doesn't interpret, it replicates. The viewer's brain processes AI imagery the same way as it would a photograph.

AI borrows someone's actual face, actual body, actual expressions and passes it off as if it was real. That in and of itself is a violation. It's a further violation to then pass off intimate acts as if they are real, without that person's knowledge or consent. It's an expression of control over someone's body, which we are never entitled to.

Fanart is imagination. AI is fabrication.

P.S. I shouldn't even have to say this because people should care about others, but if you can do this for celebrities, it can happen to you too.
