Florence + The Machine returns to London’s Hyde Park in 2019!
“Which non-fictional character - alive or dead - do you think has had the most profound effect on you personally and, in turn, your work?”
“Gosh, so many people, I don’t know?! I do think Patti Smith is sort of a creative North Star for me, as is Nick [Cave]. I am always drawn to people who seem to retain an innate sense of who they are within the ever-changing world of music, especially Patti Smith, who writes so beautifully about the importance of the small things, a favourite cafe or TV show, strong coffee. Really that’s the stuff. The big shows and number one records are incredible obviously, but I think people like Patti really affirm to me the importance of having a reverence for the joys of life and the simple pleasure of living and making art.”
Florence talking to Susie Cave for ‘So It Goes’.
Track listing for ‘High as Hope’, set to be released on the 29th of June.
And I never wanted anything from you, except everything you had and what was left after that too.

Music is my way out. I keep things locked up and never say anything. I guess in order to say something to one person, I have to sing it to a couple of thousand.
