The issue with designing an overcomplicated mech for this stupid vtuber avatar idea I have is that I'm going to have to model and rig it.

The other issue is that from what I can tell (from two cursory google searches) I don't think any of the major 3D vtuber programs can actually handle a rig with all the functionality I need.

So I'm probably going to have to figure out how to set up an eye/head/hand tracking system in godot (since I do know how to set the necessary constraints up there)

Very funny that there's a type of Warhammer 40k fan who will insist that the ridiculous prices of the models/miniatures is completely justified because "the models are higher quality than any other miniature/model on the market and also have far more value than all those other miniatures because they have 'the added value from their rules in the game' because those rules make them worth $40 more than other companies' models"

and then Games Workshop will proceed to make it so that if you want to know the rules for the game you need to both get the general rulebook and download the app (because the rulebook has a bunch of rules with asides that tell you "this rule is explained in the app and not here in the rulebook for no reason") and get the rulebook for that model's faction and read the patch notes on their community site then download another pdf because the webpage doesn't even have all the updated rules.

If you're making an Armored Core inspired game and you make your FCS able to target missiles,

Maybe you should implement some way for the player to go "no, I don't want to aim at these missiles. I want to shoot the guy who's shooting them at me, because I'm using railguns that have no fire rate and no magazine size and I don't want to blow two of my six total shots on Ann Singular Missile."

Instead of making any enemy with missiles functionally impossible to target at long range because their missiles act like flares the entire time they're on your screen.

I have no reason for wanting to do this outside of I think the idea of an AC6 Cinematic/Pacific Rim/Bayverse 1-3 level mecha vtuber avatar would be really funny in a "why would you do this" way.

But realistically it would be very stupid for me to do this both because the amount of time and effort it would take to make and set up would not be worth it (especially considering I don't know if any VTuber software can even handle driven keys and dual-switching parent constraints and aim constraints).

And also I'd be a terrible twitch streamer.

Please sign that petition if you can, this bill is worse than it seems. Its primary purpose is to exclude trans women from women's spaces, including bathrooms, prisons, homeless shelters, and sports. It also cements transphobic, intersexist, and acephobic beliefs that are already somewhat present in Australia's law.

It is worth noting that this bill is being pushed by the National party, one of Australia's main right-wing parties. The party currently in power is the Labour party, our biggest left-wing/centrist party. The party pushing for this bill does not have the votes needed to pass it, and thus either needs to convince centrists to agree with them or are doing this to curry favour for the next election or some other goal.

When it comes to the bill itself, they are defining anything relating to one's sex in terms of the sex binary in a way which excludes intersex people in many ways. They also are changing the definition of sexual attraction, and the main change this makes is an exclusion of non-binary people in attraction. However, it is also worded so a trans woman lesbian is considered straight, and their definition also doesn't properly include asexual people. Those wording issues are already present in the original law, however.

They are also explicitly stating that it's okay to discriminate against transfems in women's spaces of any kind, including prisons, bathrooms, homeless shelters, and sports. That is the main change being pushed for.

Figured out how to set up an IK rig for a mech leg with a two-stage knee with an offset joint.

This took me basically the entire day because Maya sucks and the internet is useless.
