Just a Warning to Dickkory Fans (and people who may not be Dickkory fans but still don't like Dickbabs/Babs)
If you join Reddit and wonder why subreddits like r/DCcomics and r/dccomicscirclejerk feel so heavily anti-Dickkory and full of Dickbabs shippers harassing Dickkory fans without getting any consequences, it's because the moderators themselves are power-tripping Dickbabs shippers who have a personal vendetta against Dickkory shippers.
The founder of both subs, u/beary_neutral has openly participated in shipwar posts and made shady comments about Dickkory fans. They are obsessed with dickkory shippers and won't stop targeting them in their comments.
He has said more demeaning comments about dickkory and their fans but I wasn't able to take screenshots of all of them.
From what I've witnessed, he and his mod team remove any posts and comments that criticize Dickbabs and Tom Taylor like for example, they removed this popular post that complained about how Tom Taylor reduced Barbara to just a love interest.
But they give Dickbabs shippers free rein in their subs. Any posts or comments that insult Starfire, put down Dickkory or make vile personal attacks against Dickkory fans are allowed to stay even when they violate their own subreddit's rules.
For example, r/dccomicscirclejerk is supposed to be a place where people can joke about any character in DC.
Dickbabs shippers can call Starfire an animal, compare her to Paul, and belittle her all they want, but if someone makes a joke about Barbara, they'll gang up on that user, remove that user's comment and ban them. A lot of people have wondered why nobody makes jokes about Barbara. They think it's because everyone loves her, but that's far from the truth. It's because the moderators censor and filter out anything that goes against their favorite.
They also have a rule that says no personal attacks, soapboxing, doxxing or user stalking, but every day in that sub they allow Dickbabs shippers to personally insult and humiliate Dickkory shippers all they want and they even allow them to expose the usernames and other public information of dickkory shippers they're making fun of. They also brigade the dickkory sub.
I've been also openly harassed by them and banned by the moderators because I'm vocal about my stance against the toxicity and bad writing of Dickbabs.
u/beary_neutral and his circle also used to moderate r/Nightwing and during their time, any criticism of Tom Taylor or Dickbabs was also heavily censored there. They kept track of anyone who says they don't like Dickbabs or Tom Taylor's writing and shadowbanned them.
Currently a new team has taken over the Nightwing sub. I have issues about the current team but they're far more professional than the previous team. To be clear, the new team isn't biased toward Dickkory. Three of the four moderators aren't Dickkory shippers and they can sometimes be a bit unfair to Dickkory fans as well, but they do seem to make an effort to be fair to both sides. Dickbabs shippers can also criticize Dickkory there btw. The main difference is that personal insults are no longer allowed under the new moderation team which is an improvement compared to how beary_neutral and his team made things so unprofessional and biased.
So yeah, please be careful out there, I decided to let you know what's happening there so you'd be aware of how Dickbabs shippers run and control the subreddit they manage. There will always be a lot of Personal Harassment and Censorship when they're the ones running the sub.
