One thing I forgot to mention in my previous theory post about HTTYD and Arcadia Tales is the similarity between the Hidden World and the Troll Market.
Besides the predominant colors being similar, both places share at least similar characteristics.
A hidden place filled with many gems and precious stones, with a large bioluminescent yellow stone at its center.
Despite the many differences between the two places, it's easy to compare them, especially considering that the Hidden World was only recently inhabited by dragons in HTTYD. While the Troll Market is a region long inhabited by self-aware creatures with mining and construction techniques that may have greatly altered the place. (in addition to natural phenomena altering the geography of the area over time).
It's not a solid theory, but it's an interesting idea that I like to believe in.
What if I post some stuff about my HTTYD OC?
I believe that HTTYD and Tales of Arcadia are part of the same universe. I don't care about canon, I believe and that's it.
In the first HTTYD movie, while Gobber was talking to Stoick, Gobber says he believes in the existence of Trolls and that they steal socks. (YES GOBBER, THEY STEAL, THEY LOVE SOCKS).
In 'Wizards' we saw the appearance of a dragon. "But it's a talking dragon, dragons in HTTYD don't talk." Shut up! In the How to Train Your Dragon comics, Hiccup has telepathic communication with the Foreverwings, And girl, the dragon from Wizards is a magical dragon, it does what it wants.
OOh, that's not enough for you? Okay. During the final episodes of Wizards, we see Douxie freeing the creatures imprisoned in the dungeons. If you pause the scene on one of the cells that are being opened, you can see a trio of Smothering Smokebreath trapped inside.
"That's just a silly Easter egg," let me be fucking happy, bitch.

Sorry I didnβt end up drawing a lot of pride art this month, so have the Bi king himself
if you would be so kind as to reblog this if you feel insecure about your writing skills.
Happy pride month to Snotlout Jorgenson.
And literally every other HTTYD character.
Okay so after watching GDTβs Frankenstein, it inspired my new interpretation of orcs. Which is that they are an entire race of Frankensteinβs creatures. Or Melkorβs creatures in this case.
They are sewn together from the mangled and tortured pieces of captured elves and then forced into existence. They are alive but have no soul, for the various souls their bodies are made of departed for Valinor long ago. They are born into a life of servitude and know nothing else but the shadows on Angbandβs bloodied walls.
There is no place for them in this world. They are reviled by all other peoples on Middle Earth and do not have the comfort of an afterlife, not a single orc knows if there is a place for them after death. Some think that all the pieces of their bodies will break apart and return to their original owners and they will return to the nothingness from whence they came. But there is no place, no Vala, that wants them.
And just like Frankensteinβs creature, who said βif I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear.β That is the foundation upon which orc culture is built. They know the world despises them and would like to see them all wiped out, so they respond in kind.
