It is so so so important to me that Entrapta's Big Moment in the She-Ra finale is not her being useful. She does get to help, of course, with her technology being what breaks the chips, but that is not her moment in the spotlight. Her moment in the spotlight, instead, lets her finally see that she is wanted. She is on Horde Prime's ship. Her technology has been activated. Her part has been played, and now, there's nothing else she can do. There is no way that she can make herself useful. She's helped her friends and she is happy for them, even when Horde Prime commands her death. And Hordak doesn't kill her. Not because she's useful to him. But because he cares about her as a person, not as a utility. Because she is his friend. Because in his eyes, she is worth more than any labor she can contribute. And I really like that there is a focus on her being cared about by someone, even when she isn't useful to them. I think it is a very nice conclusion to her arc. tl;dr I love that it wasn't Entrapta's utility that saved her, but instead it was the fact that someone genuinely loved her, and I am totally normal about the robot girl and she has not made me lose my mind even once

really love a corruption arc where the character is trying way too hard to make it work but they're in over their head and it's uncomfortable and embarrassing and they're swallowing their own puke every time they do something awful and damp with sweat and trembling but insistent that they can do this, they want it, they're not a child, but it's like they're playing dressup in clothes that are too big for them and trying to convince their own reflection in the mirror that they fit and it's just no fun to watch at all

+ then they find inside them a capacity for cruelty far more upsettingly vicious than anyone could have imagined and decide that because they enjoy how unafraid it makes them feel for the first time in as long as they can remember it must have been their true nature all along instead of something that had to be starved in the dark until it grew desperate enough to claw its way out 🙂‍↕️
