Basement have released their first ever music video to new song "Aquasun” ahead of the release of their new album, “Promise Everything” to be released on January 29th 2016. Check it out below.

REVIEW: Moose Blood at The Borderline, London - January 23rd 2015.

Seeing the rise in popularity of Moose Blood over the past year or so has been amazing, and tonight shows just how far they've come in a short space of time; as well as selling out most of their tour, they're playing a sold out headline show at The Borderline in London. 

Once Moose Blood take to the stage, they swing straight into "Pups" and the room erupts; it shows just how loyal their fan base is with the entire audience singing along word for word. Their songs allow well for audience participation, regardless of the pace; whilst attendees go wild with stage divers and crowd surfers pouring out for "Bukowski", they belt out every melodic word in unison for "Cherry", which vocalist Eddy Brewerton dedicates to his wife who is in attendance also.

Favourites from the night include "Swim Down" and "I Hope You're Miserable", and Moose Blood take on the crowd extremely well; the majority of tracks have kids jumping on-stage, surfing across the room and occasionally into their equipment; however it's clear this attitude enlightens them and encourages them more. The energy is at an all around all-time high.

The band finish with "Boston" and a magnificent sing along explodes out; the atmosphere in the room is so high that the band are mass requested back on-stage for a final track; hearing old-favourite "Evening Coffee" is a much appreciated end to the night.

Despite only having a few EPs and one full-length as of late, it is clear that there are great things to come from Moose Blood. They are full of passion, and have a great attitude when performing and interacting with their fans. From seeing them in a tiny basement in Kingston last year to this is a big step in such a short space, and don't be surprised when you see them later this year in much more roomy venues.

REVIEW: Modern Baseball at The Fighting Cocks, Kingston - September 27th 2014.

Tonight, Modern Baseball make a return to Kingston for their first ever headline tour here in the UK. The band has been on tour for about two weeks now, and the show this evening marks the end of this journey in the UK. And what a way to finish such a memorable tour; in a sweaty, packed to the rim 150-odd capacity basement of a bar which sold out within a couple of days.

To start off the night, Modern Baseball jump straight into favourite “Fine, Great” which gets the entire room jumping along, fans repeating words back as they’re belted out. Listening to their music, they’re a difficult band to define genre-wise; they flit between a mixture of indie rock, punk and the pop punk labels, however that mix seems to be a hit according to those in attendance here - the audience are wild, and full of energy from the word go. Crowd surfers are being boosted up and passed around the room as the band hit out tune after tune, including “Tears Over Beers”, “The Weekend” and “Rock Bottom”.

  One of the major highlights of the night was the band slowing down their set for a rendition of their most recent single “Pothole” - this performance highlights just how talented the band is, and the crowd sang right along to each and every beautiful, melodic word. At times it was even difficult to hear the vocalist over the power of the crowd’s united voices.

  Modern Baseball closed their wonderful set with the beloved “Your Graduation”, which even involved audience members storming the stage for a few cheeky stage dives – the atmosphere in the room was both insane yet exhilarating at the same time; the closer ensured everyone left The Fighting Cocks feeling like they’d had the time of their lives. We anticipate the band’s return, and we expect to see them in venues a hell of a lot bigger next time around; their popularity and success is clear, and tonight proved each and every reason why.

REVIEW: Of Mice & Men at Koko, Camden - April 18th 2014.

Proudly clarified by frontman Austin Carlile, Of Mice & Men's show tonight at Camden Koko sold out within a matter of hours (six to be more accurate). Over the past couple of years, the band's popularity has soared and with the queue already beginning to form in the early hours of the day it's clear that it's going to be a crazy one.

First to take to the stage in the all-American line-up are the Ohio-based Beartooth; their performance went down a treat and got the crowd warmed up nicely for the remaining acts ahead.

Next up were Atlanta metalcore band Issues, and they blew us away with their performance; the band could have easily been headlining the show themselves. "King Of Amarillo" was a definitely highlight of the set - the entire ground floor were moving and belting out the lyrics. The band ended their powerful set with "Hooligans" and it's clear that this band are going good places. Issues are the one to watch for 2014.

Around quarter past 8, the lights dim and it's ready for the grand finale: Californian-based Of Mice & Men trot onstage and swing straight into "Public Service Announcement", the opening track of their new album "Restoring Force". The crowd go wild, with hands swinging and mosh pits erupting. The band are on top form tonight and bursting with energy; frontman Austin Carlile doesn't stop moving and interacting with the audience throughout the setlist. 

The set is full of old fan favourites such as "Let Live", "Still YDG'n" and "Second & Sebring" as well as a mix of tracks off their latest release including the popular "Bones Exposed". Regardless of new or old, it's obvious that all in attendance are buzzing for the band's return since they played at the Electric Ballroom in 2012. The new tracks go down just as well as older ones and the fans belt the words out right back at them. 

To conclude a spectacular set, Of Mice & Men returned to the stage for an encore of "You're Not Alone", which was the first single heard by fans off of "Restoring Force". The reaction is wild and everyone goes mad; Koko is flooded with crowd surfers, mosh pits and dedicated listeners having the time of their lives. The band far exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to their return.

REVIEW: Architects - Lost Forever // Lost Together

After having so much success with their fifth studio release “Daybreaker”, it was always going to be tough going for Architects to bring something both new and better to the table this time around. Ever since the announcement earlier on this year, the band have constantly been promoting their upcoming sixth album “Lost Forever // Lost Together”; they released teasers prior to the LP's release by publicising tracks “Naysayer”, “Broken Cross” and “C.A.N.C.E.R.”

Ahead of its official March 10th release, the band streamed “Lost Forever // Lost Together” in its entirety on their YouTube channel. After a full playthrough, it's apparent that this is already a strong contender for best album of the year and we're only a few months in. They've completely outdone themselves with this album, even this is obvious from opening track “Gravedigger”; frontman Sam Carter's vocals are somehow much more powerful and aggressive than ever before – it's fast-paced, raw and extremely intense which is exactly what metalcore should be . It's clear that whilst this record was being constructed, a lot of both feeling and malice was hammered into it.

“Naysayer” was the first insight listeners received into the album itself, and boy it was a treat. The aggression throughout never lets up, and somewhat showcases how far their music has come since their previous release (which "Daybreaker" itself being a fantastic album). The intensity of their passion comes through in every line, and the lyrics “so sick of the sound of people giving up, you can't stop me giving a fuck” display just how much raw feeling goes into the band's work. Featuring some of the most experimental riffs Architects have ever produced, it works perfectly for them; it's no surprise “Naysayer” was chosen for the releasing track of this LP.

The malicious pace is continued throughout with it only slowing up slightly for “Red Hypergiant”; it's fair to say the instrumental track is the most diverse song the band has ever attempted, with electronic components added to create a wonderfully atmospheric track full of melancholy that creates a magnificent build-up to “C.A.N.C.E.R.”

Consonantly flawless throughout, the album closes with “The Distant Blue”; full of stunningly strong high vocals from Carter and resounding riffs, it is delivered much gentler than it actually is in reality. The track itself bewitches the listener with the variants in its pace, making it exciting and full of anticipation, eventually ceasing with extortionately harmonious vocals and rhythm, possibly the most melodious you'll ever actually see from the band. From end-to-end, there are surprises much like this soft, mesmerising ending to an angry, malevolent album.

“Lost Forever // Lost Together” is a huge achievement for Architects; it demonstrates their best assets perfectly, and if you previously didn't dig their stuff then this material holds the possibility to change your mind. The entire album is full of meaning, and there is not one song that could be titled as mediocre. It's impressive just how much emotion and true passion goes into their songwriting; they're writing songs to speak out against what they see to be wrong, not just making music to simply listen to. Regardless of whether this is the album to take Architects to the next level, it cannot be denied its earned right of a spectacular piece of work, and very much their best record to date. REVIEW: Neck Deep at The Barfly, Camden - January 13th 2014.

The event taking place at The Barfly tonight is a huge one for Neck Deep; it marks the day that the pop-punk band release their debut album, Wishful Thinking, and they are also playing their first ever London headline show (which also happens to be sold out). For a band who only formed two years prior, they have come so far already. Mid last year they signed to Hopeless Records, and within the first couple of weeks of 2014 they have released their debut along with gaining a dedicated fan base alongside their rise.

You can feel the excitement of fans to hear new live material as soon as you enter the venue; taking place in a tiny, sweaty 200-cap room which sold out in only a matter of weeks, everyone is buzzing for the arrival of the Welsh act and to hear the highly anticipated new tracks in a live environment. The room was packed out way before the band were even scheduled to play, showing how committed these fans are to get a good spot for such an exclusive show.

As soon as Neck Deep take to the stage and jump into the first few notes, members of the audience are already stage diving and crowd surfing which continued for the majority of the show. The atmosphere is fantastic; the crowd are almost as loud as frontman Ben Barlow, belting out every single word alongside him. What is shocking as how even when new tracks such as “Crushing Grief” and “Losing Teeth” are played, most of the crowd are singing along despite the fact the record only began streaming to the public a week prior, which shows just how devoted this audience and their following have become. A big highlight was the strip down of the set for the performance of melodic hit “A Part Of Me” where Ben whipped out an acoustic and striked up the loudest singalong of the whole set.

The band concluded their magnificent nearly hour-long set with “Growing Pains”, which happened to be the first track that was released from Wishful Thinking. As expected, fans went wild yet again and the mental crowd surfing and stage dives ensued. Neck Deep exited the stage with no encore, although no-one felt deprived in the slightest – a fantastic start to the year for them, and also an insight into just what kind of success that is to come; the band embark on a UK support slot with fellow Hopeless Records act We Are The In Crowd at the end of the month, and they are sure to go even further as the year progresses on.

REVIEW: Bury Tomorrow at Islington Academy - October 4th 2013.

Tonight, Islington Academy is full to the brim with eager fans awaiting the arrival of Bury Tomorrow and their sold out conclusion to their UK headline tour. Over the past few years, the band have grown immensely; it's hard to think that a few years ago they were on the verge of calling it quits, yet here they are with a sold out Islington show.

By the time Bury Tomorrow are ready to take to the stage, the venue is packed out and fans are buzzing with excitement. The lights dim and the band jump straight into 'Redeemer', which immediately has the room erupting into singing right along with Frontman Dani Winter-Bates. The energy the band put into their performance is commendable; every member is running around the stage, jumping and encouraging fans to go wild in the mosh pits.

The setlist is a mixture of their two full-length albums; it included the powerful tracks 'An Honourable Reign', 'Knight Life' and 'Royal Blood', the former being our highlight of the night – the crowd's reaction to the song was overwhelming, with pits almost consuming the whole room.

The band rejoin the stage for an encore of 'Lionheart', which is flawless and gets everyone in the building moving. And it's hard not to – Bury Tomorrow are infectious both with their fast, heavy yet melodious songs alongside the passion they pack into their performances. It's performances like tonight that proves exactly why this band are still going, and why they are one of the front runners in the UK metalcore scene right now. Attendees tonight should feel very lucky to bear witness to such an impressive show in a rather intimate venue this evening, and don't be surprised if you see them headlining much larger venues on their next tour cycle.
