Nobody I know in my actual day to day life knows me on Tumblr, but I feel like celebrating. For the past 9 years me and my family have lived on a wooden boat. Very cold, very damp, rotting wood, rats under the floorboards, slugs in your shoes, faulty electricity, flooding…anyone who’s lived on a wooden boat may know where I’m coming from…but we’ve moved into a normal concrete house now🤩

i saw the quote

"you can easily return to the past but no one is there”

and I’ve been thinking about it for the last 48 hours

and oh dont I yearn so deeply for the past, for my past, i long to go back to that place, my home, but it doesn’t exist, not now and maybe it never did, sometimes I wonder if I ever saw it for what it was cause when I try to look all I see is white flags but my scars tell me that they were once both the same colour, so I am left homeless in four walls and a roof, my bag by the door.

Moving

A scary, hopeful thought,

My goal of the year,

Surrounded by fear:

Could I be moving?

Where is a question,

One among many,

And a tripping point of months.

Where would I want to live?

Where's affordable to move?

Can I cope with moving?

Can my friendships?

Everyone moves sometimes,

At some point in their lives,

And it's still terrifying.
