My amazing and talented buddy David designed this poster for my other next short film “Two, Mississippi”. I think it’s pretty awesome.

My friend Emma, who was my DP for Two, Mississippi, cut together this awesome reel of footage she got. It’s really really #cool, and a nice look at what we did last night.

Rocky Pajarito Show Reel 2014
A little look back at the projects I got to make this year. A lot of them are for class circumstances, but despite that, I’m actually very proud of all these pieces and the people I got to make them with. I’m hoping 2015 will be even more exciting, growth-provoking, and fun as far as filmmaking goes.
I'll also be making the change to YouTube next year. Not as organized as Vimeo, but I'll be able to upload video essays using film footage and reels using music and such- it's also just easier to put up dumb little videos. I'll probably keep Vimeo for my bigger projects like short films and trailers, but YouTube seems more fitting for general video activity of all kinds.

Finally, a trailer for my latest short film "Up the Wolves". I'd like to have it up by Christmas, buuuuuuut we'll see.
Final set of stills from Up the Wolves. The film should be up this coming weekend. I’m really proud of this last week of filming, in spite of scheduling conflicts and weather being an ASSHOLE.

Some stills from my short film shoot today. This thing is turning out pretty interestingly. Audio is still the bane of my existence, but it’s getting better. And working with a DP with lots of toys and lots of talent has been a blast.
Learning experience so far? I need a producer friend. (also a fucking audio person)
Closing Time
The thing I’ve been working on all night. It’s weird. I wish I was a bit better at directing some of the visuals early on (it’s great I have such a talented DP, but I need to have actors other than myself and be more specific in what I want), but I don’t know. I like it as is… again, weird.
It’s also part of a “Dream Sequence” assignment.
And yeah, Pink Floyd. Whatever. Felt fitting.
The Recovery Process
A recently dumped young man wallows around his room and tries to write a song for his ex.
This is another assignment for my Visual Storytelling class at Chapman. This particular one asked to use mise en scene to develop and create a character and their surroundings. I decided to mess with certain editing/camera tricks and it seems to have worked for the most part. I had fun trying them out even if they aren't 100% clean.
