People may mock you but this is a healthy perspective. Tennis is your job. It has defined a part of you, but you are still Naomi and you are a mother. Tennis is only one aspect of your life, and if you have a bad match, that mood shouldn't tarnish the time you have for yourself and your child.

Most of these people are resentful and jealous and feel like they would LIVE BETTER if they were in your shoes.

But they do not appreciate nor understand the grueling schedule. The missing home. Wanting to fully rest and heal but can't because another tournament starts. And navigating basement dwelling fans like them with grace and patience.

it literally sucks so bad that i got the best news ever last week and every day since then ive been killed by 1000000 hammers

#just officially canceled my hrt prescription cause i found out they're going to DOUBLE the price #and i cant get a new one bc *technically* my old one was illegal anyway #i stocked up on the medication itself so i do have at least a years worth if i can find a safe place to buy injection supplies #but the waitlist to get on hrt here is still >2 years #i just feel really hopeless about it #like it was inevitable in a way bc even what it was already at was going to be too expensive in the long run since i need to be saving hard #but getting the email that they're doubling the price for the next refill was such a fucking gut punch man #i thought i could try for a few more months but as soon as i saw that i was like :/ yeah its so fucking over ig #thinking about diy...but horribly scared of the law and general medical safety
