event: the bidding war

THE INTRODUCTION:

It had been two weeks since the residents had touched down in Redwood only to find that their belongings had been kidnapped, held for ransom by some ominous presence; no one knew who it was and the rumours were swirling. Detectives and Cops alike were working over time as those who knew Irina knew she had been under severe stress, not to mention Jane who had been flittering around like a bee non stop. But what about Mr. Valentine? Some say he was in Paris and some say he was here being the bad guy everyone thinks he is, it’s probably a good thing he has his girlfriend Elena to ground him or all of hell would break loose.

On the other side of town, the thieves were gearing up to what they hoped to be an absolute cash cow of a night; the setting was all done, made to look just as dingy as they had hoped in the letter they left behind; but now they had gone one step further and hacked the systems sending everyone a text to remind them; “1st of April. Be there or loose your shit for good” no number attached, just a simple ‘private number’ in the reciever, what were the residents going to do? were they going to get their stuff back or where they going to leave it to be sold and do god knows what with it.

EVENT INFORMATION:

There will be an event for April, your character can either send a character or someone else to attend on their behalf or your character can intend themselves

It’s going to be styled like a bidding war, most likely will take place on dash or discord ( hasn’t been decided what will work best just yet )

There will be more information closer to the date but just prepare for now, it might be the first 2 weeks of April depending on Easter and who and what people celebrate.

plot drop 02: the black market

BEFORE THE READ:

This is what happened while the muses while in Paris, only the muses that went on the trip were targeted because they were the perfect opportunity for it. but those that stayed could have seen things, heard things, they can help those that were involved.

THE PREMISE:

Paris was beautiful for those that were going but what was even more beautiful or more so glorious was the opportunity that was presented to the dark thieves and under lords of Redwood. Oh yes, just because the town was small and picturesque didn’t mean that it could escape the treacherous swirls of darkness that were hidden where eyes didn’t see and light didn’t hit. They were everything the town expected them to be, and when they came back and saw what had happened, it made even more sense as to why they were the scum of the planet.

Houses, raided-... trashed, personal items, those that were cherished and loved-... highly valued items, looted and stolen, the only things that were left behind were the bare minimum things that not even they were interested in, and a symbol, that so far no one understands, an eye, drawn in red paint, ruining walls everywhere they went-.. it’s so clearly a group of people, under the same team-... a message being sent; We are watching-.... What was even more weird was the posted that was taped to every door that had been targeted.

“WANT YOUR THINGS BACK?” it taunted, “YOU’LL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT-... THE WAREHOUSE, 3AM SHARP. DON’T BE LATE” it wasn’t written very well, mistakes and sloppy hand writing being paired together but it seemed obvious that they were going to make the residents pay and out bid for the things that they had lost. wanting to see how badly they wanted what was taken for them-... the only question now was if they were going to show up, and if they did-... what consequences would follow?

THE OOC INFORMATION:

There is going to be a follow up event for this maybe sometime in March.

To summarise the plot drop, those that went to Paris were robbed, they had their things stolen and now the criminals were going to be selling them on the black market.

So that the plot drop isn’t isolating, those that didn’t go to Paris could be involved by knowing that something like this was going to happen, they could have known someone or something that was involved ect.

Your characters could have been the witnesses paid or in Paris but they won’t know the pure identity of the people involved unless plotted otherwise with the mun.

you don’t HAVE to have your character involved if you don’t want to, it’s an optional plot drop to be involved in.

CHARACTERS INVOLVED:

Lucy and her crew definitely played a part in this, as a means of gathering money and fencing it off for profit.

Beau, even though he was in Paris has been framed for this whole job, there have been 6 witnesses ( that were paid ) in Redwood that have said that they saw him the night of the robberies, and 6 from the trip that place him in Paris; who is telling the truth here?

The muses are now back in REDWOOD! Friendly reminder to now only do time jumps in current threads, or flash backs but no new threads going into March as it will conflict with the plot drop!

Friendly Reminder the muses are set to be on the plane home to Redwood by the 28th of February, with a landing and return home by the 1st of March. There will be an official post made closer to the date but what this means is that threads set in Paris can continue with Time Jumps and Flash Backs to certain dates but no NEW posts in the future ( aka beyond the 28th of February ) can be made. So you’re allowed to do a flashback to say the 2nd of February if you didn’t have time to thread something out but nothing going into March as it will conflict with the plot drop that will be posted.

I’ve decided to drop a surprise tonight and host the gala for the muses that was entailed in the letter they all received, the muses can choose to attend or choose to miss it ( that’s completely fine ) but you are all welcome to post starters surrounding this mini event and have them socialise for those that are attending.

SOME OOC DETAILS:

The gala will run from February 20th to the end of the month so you may post starters for them any time between now and then.

Your muses can and are allowed to still roam and explore Paris.

There is no exact ‘theme’ for the Gala but I was thinking fancy like ball gowns like Cinderella vibes?

You may post outfits for those attending, if you do we’d love to see them, I will set up a channel in the discord and you can post them in there

OOC INFO: The muses have touched down in Paris, France. Shuttles are waiting to escort them to their hotels where they are welcome to check in, relax and have a look around-... within the next twenty four to forty eight hours, there will be a notice made regarding the upcoming Gala so stay tuned and have some fun.

OOC INFO: The muses will be landing in the four hours. You may continue threads as they are, or time jump them ( how you see fit ) but the muses will be touching the ground in 4 hours sharp. I’ll make another announcement when that happens.

SECOND EVENT * THE PARISIAN DREAM:

To Whom It May Concern,

Included in this letter is a two way ticket to Paris, France. My company has been doing quite well this year, and as a way to celebrate I wanted to give you all the chance to go on the trip of a lifetime. All expenses will be paid for the week, and we’ll all be flying their on my company jet. While this all may see too good to be true, I do need to ask you all a favor. There is a single person who must not find out, and that’s Lovelyn. You see, I want to surprise her, while also doing something nice for the community. So, to be able to get on this trip, the ruse must stay up until we land in Paris.

Now, if there is anything you need while we are there, don’t hesitate to text me. I will have my cellphone on at all times, and while I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to answer right away, I will do what I can. Welcome to the Valentines Day event for February! Your muses are going on an all paid expenses trip to Paris!

You don’t need to have all muses participate if you don’t want too.

They don’t need to be in a relationship, for all you know you can have had them hook up with some NPC while they are there!

The trip in Paris will last from the 10th of February till the end of the month ( this is the time frame for the starters to be created as interactions can still carry on after wards )

There will be a gala/ball for the muses and this will be on the 14th of February to the 21st of February OOC time, but in game it will only be about a couple of hours, there will be a announcement made on the main for when this will take place.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Redwood is gearing up for something exciting for all of it’s residents with the help from our own VINCE LEVO, shortly you will receive a letter in which it will reveal all it’s details but for now we ask you to keep two weeks in February open and clear for the surprise that will fall upon you shortly-... let the mystery stay alive. Until then, we can only keep you waiting.

This is just a sneak peak into the event that we have planned for the members for the month of February.

It is optional so your characters do not need to attend or have threads centered around the event itself.

plot drop 01: the carnvial

BEFORE THE READ:

Please note there are strong trigger warnings for bombings, potential bombs, people being shot and hurt, if these are things that trigger you, please do not read or engage with this post.

THE PREMISE:

The Carnival was going swell, lights were shimmering, kids were laughing, and parents were mingling with friends, but danger was lurking in the shadows, it had been planned for weeks in advance now - for a bomb to planted on someone to then be let off in the midst of everyone as a message to authority that if they ever tried to hijack their plans or take from them once again then this is what would happen - but the FBI were on it, Irina and her team had been following this for a while now and were one step a head which is was she was here with the arranged bomb squad having received anon tip offs a head of time.

But once she was spotted, things needed to move swiftly from there, her hand on her gun as she moved towards the target with the bomb attached to his chest, he was screaming, yelling about death, about his plans and what he wanted, but Irina wasn’t going to let this happen, she wasn’t going to let any life be put in danger ( she may be guarded but she wasn’t heartless ). Shots were fired and people were hurt-... Redwood’s own Brett Hexworth, owner of Hex was hit and found to be bleeding towards his car in amongst the chaos as well as Elena Watson being separated from maybe boyfriend Beau Valentine, no one really knowing if they were reconnected but that’s not all.

Not even the workers of the Carnival were safe as Asa Rodeo as he was trying to help everyone protect and keep them safe out of the way was secure himself as fate had other plans for him, tripping over a stray metal bar in amongst the panic and shuffle of people having his leg trampled on and injured to the point where he couldn’t aid himself in the terror of everything going on. We can all thank Irina Balinska, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and their affiliations for saving the night, securing the bomb and preventing anyone and everyone from being hurt.

The Carnival Event will be drawing to a close on the last day of January in preparation for our February Valentines Day event.

You're welcome to have your character interact and react with the plot drop whether they attended or not, I feel like this will be like a newspaper article or on the social media’s whether it be Facebook, Daily Mail, Snapchat, Youtube ect.
