Today's pic spam is progress pictures for a new painting. Starting with tiny panel tests for painting the background and ending with the final positioning glued down. Completing the posts about the space naga stuff here's the little camvas panel I used to test out the background + shiny unicorn that ended up on it. It turns out that I am not great at drawing horses

Back to semi-regular photo updates The proofs for my next print order got here yesterday I got some lineart done for a SakuIno HP AU inspired by my failure at Naka's iron fic I started sewing my weird tablecloth/cover thing And our furbabies are very excited that the weather is nice enough to go to the lake again Oh also I'll have a table at Kc Fancon on April 1st which is always a good time, and this time my little sisters going to be with me and sharing some of the space which I'm sure will be interesting

So between convention prep and my computer deciding to not work anymore my posting went from cosplay progress spam to silence again... oops...

Now that Naka’s over and I’ve got a temporary solution for the computer issue I should get somewhat back on track at least for the next few weeks. I might put together a proper post on some of the cosplay stuff but in the meantime have a magical girl I did while getting used to the new setup.

The patch is coming along well, I was smarter this time and got black felt to start with instead of filling it all in and it's going much quicker than I was expecting. I also after going through two double needles and nearly four spools of thread I'm finally done ribbing the knit and can start on the jacket proper now

Sorry for not posting much, it's less than a month to Naka and it's pretty much been mockup after mockup and final costume plans, which just really isn't that visually interesting. Actual cosplay progress should start soon but other than some random sketching I probably won't be posting much art until it's all done. Anyways onto the closest thing I've got to being valentine's related, it's got hearts so it totes counts. I found this at HPB awhile back and got pretty excited. Nice glossy pictures of cue clothes, decent articles from the past of a fashion style I still rather adore and an untouched pattern sheet of accessories make it the best kinda of middle school nostalgia tbh. A few nights ago I needed a break from other stuff so I traced out the bunny hood pattern onto some tissue paper, raided my fabric hoard for supplies (I've had some of it for literally half my life, it has evolved from a stash), and got to work. A few hours and much confusion over the instructions before deciding to ignore them and wing it I now have a cute little cape, it's not visible but it's fully lined with white flannel so it's quite soft and comfy.

Sorry for not posting anything for a few months but it was just one stressful situation after another and I just kept forgetting to post things when they were done so now I have a calendar alert every few days to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

It's finally done! I can finish cleaning and work on other stuff now!

#ruffley monstrosity the third #sewing #I mean I literally have nothing I can wear with it but that's not the point #I wanted a ridiculously fluffy ruffley petticoat #So a trip to fabric store and like a year and a half later I have a ridiculous purple petticoat #after I finish Bill and all the naka mockups I'll make a skirt and a cutsew to go with it #depending on if I have time before Naka I'll make like a full goth/hime OP to wear one of the days
