Dan Schmahl
Dan Schmahl’s work is a very thoughtful combination of photographs, videos, books, installations and 3D models. He creates stunning images in which mystery prevails, and that he combines to form greater, enigmatic wholes.
Originally from Texas, Dan has lived in Tallahassee, Florida since 2007. He earned a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from Florida State University in the winter of 2012, and is currently the Lab Manager for the Photo and Digital Media departments at FSU. He also runs a small risograph book press called ‘super hit press’ that puts out small editions of artist books and zines, mostly for himself and his artists friends.
